The doctor was thorough. Prior to meeting with me, he threw we went through the records that I had from two other hospitals, and knew quite a bit about my history. That allowed me to feel confident that we were both on the same paShow morege. He expressed concern for my condition and immediately Agreed that we had to have a plan to improve my health. What was most impressive was that he said if the condition didn’t improve somewhat in the next seven days, I should call him and we would tweak the plan. That was far more assuring to me than being dismissed, and saying that I could come back in six weeks or six months . This was my first visit with the doctor and I hope that we have a strong, compatible relationship.

Dr. Emilian Cristea
Emilian Cristea MD, is double board-certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine and founder of Kidney Health Specialists, located in Hollywood, Florida. His mission is to provide thoughtful, compassionate and comprehensive care to individuals living in and around Broward County.
Dr. Cristea earned his Doctor of Medicine degree and completed his first residency at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania in 2007. After relocating to the United States, Dr. Cristea completed a second residency in Internal Medicine at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, located in Royal Oak, Michigan. He then went on to complete a Nephrology fellowship at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida in 2019. During his fellowship he earned multiple awards including the Outstanding Fellow Award. Another noteworthy honor is his achievement of scoring in the 99th percentile on the Nephrology National Board Examination.
Dr. Cristea takes personal satisfaction in helping his patients manage their individual health concerns. He is experienced in both acute and chronic illnesses and works tirelessly to establish professional relationships with each patient, to understand every individual’s concerns, and develop personalized treatment plans. Dr. Cristea relies on his extensive knowledge as well as consulting with other experts in the field to ensure he meets each patient’s specific needs.
At Kidney Health Specialists, Dr. Cristea routinely treats conditions like hypertension, diabetic kidney disease, acute kidney disease, electrolyte disorders, kidney stones, hematuria (blood in urine) and much more. Dr Cristea is exceptional. At my age, I’ve had the experience of working with a multitude of doctors in various cities. I add him to a short list of doctors who are professional, attentive, and knows their patients. What I find most refreshing about Dr. Christie, is that he takes the time to sit patiently with you and listen to your concerns. He goes over all of your lab work in details and is not impatient as you pro him with concerns regarding your health. I also find it refreshing that he offers you the opportunity to contact him immediately if there is a need . I would recommend his services to anyone.
