Dr. Eric Chiu, md

Eric Chiu, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and eye surgeon who has been practicing since 2007. He treats a wide range of ophthalmologic conditions at Des Peres Eye Center in St. Louis and Arnold, Missouri. Patients enjoy his relaxed demeanor and his willingness to dedicate his time to explain their treatment.

Dr. Chiu earned his medical degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He stayed in Illinois to complete his ophthalmology residency at the University of Chicago. There, his dedication and excellence in the program were recognized. He served as chief resident before moving to New York for his fellowship. He completed his fellowship training in cornea and external eye disease at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Dr. Chiu holds memberships with the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the Missouri Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and the Cornea Society. At Des Peres Eye Center, he offers pterygium and corneal transplant surgeries as well as routine eye care and treatment.
