Dr. Eric Thompson, MD

Eric Thompson, MD, is a board-certified physician at Carolina Digestive Health Associates, PA, a private medical practice with 15 locations in the greater Charlotte area, including: Belmont, Concord, Davidson, Denver, Matthews, Monroe, Huntersville, University, and Pineville, North Carolina. Dr. Thompson sees patients at the Charlotte/Uptown office, Carolina Digestive Endoscopy Center in Charlotte, Carolina Endoscopy Center in Pineville, and Matthews office.

Dr. Thompson earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. After a residency in internal medicine at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, he completed his fellowship in adult gastroenterology and hepatology at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond.

Dr. Thompson specializes in general gastroenterology and hepatology. He also provides compassionate care for patients with cirrhosis, viral hepatitis, and other liver diseases. Along with his work at Carolina Digestive Health Associates, PA, Dr. Thompson is on the liver transplant team at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

In his spare time, Dr. Thompson enjoys playing racquetball and traveling.
