I'm nearly 79 and had one child at age 19, when I knew everything or thought I did. This is an inherintly dumb question above, medical procedures are NEVER a good experience, so I'll just check okay, even though it's the pits. HowShow more could I possibly say, well, I had a good time, it was such a great experience, can't wait to do it again 3 more times? I can't even ask why did this happen to me? There were many good things I inherited from my mother and my grandmother (generous boobs, hour glass figure) before her. Unfortunately, I also inherited varicose veins from them. In a quest to get rid of the problem, I had "vein stripping" about 40 years ago, when I was in my late 30's. Since that time, the medical profession has evidently now determined that was not a good idea, so Dr. Yalvac comes along after the fact and is expected to fix the problem. It's an operation on my leg veins, where a needle is inserted into the vein. I'm somewhat awake during the procedure, but not exactly sure what's going on as I cannot see what's happening but Dr. Yalvac monitors a screen I can't really see as he guides the needle through the leg veins. But it obviously requires a steady hand as its somewhat intricate. I would describe it as somewhat painful, but not excruciatingly so. I am now on #4 of six procedures. Post op, I must wear very tight stockings (would have been good not to have this dropped on me unexpectedly, to know this ahead of time, so I could Amazon them, duh) and can't shower for two days (!), so how could I possibly say it's a "good experience" when inherently it's not, it's the pits. But in a quest for solving problems, one must obviously put up with some discomfort. I can't blame my doctor for defects I acquired by birth. The whole question regarding my experience here is somewhat ridiculous as it's NEVER going to be anything other than miserable. But that doesn't IN ANY WAY make it the doctor's fault that I was Born This Way.
Dr. Yalvac happened to be on call at Hoag Irvine when I had my heart attack. I was lucky! Lucky to have recovered from my heart attack and lucky that it was Doctor Yalvac Who Tended to me during my hospital stay. My wife liked hShow moreim immediately… Sensing his jovial personality, positive attitude, and confidence in himself. Of course, my wife was upset and worried for my life. Dr. Yalvac knowing this took my wife outside of the ICU and told her, “I can do this. This is what I do. Your husband will be all right.” My wife believed him and believed in him. I have recovered, so much, so, that at yesterday‘s follow up visit, the doctor said that I was his “healthiest patient“ of the day. We were glad to be one of doctor’s Success stories. I should add that Dr. Yalvac Communicates well, with other doctors to make that success story happen. He on numerous occasions has put in the extra time that it takes to discuss my case with my endocrinologist, Dr. Jannet. Huang. He has also discussed my case with my nephrologist, Dr. Jacob Ahdoot. This communication began during my stay at Hoag Hospital And has continued ever since. Some doctors would be unwilling to Confer with another doctor that he did not know beforehand. But not Dr. Yalvac. He was thinking of me, his patient, and what was best for me. I believe that it is because of his working hand-in-hand with Dr. Jannet and Dr. Ahdoot that I am doing so well. These doctors are excellent in and of themselves, but in combination they Excel expectation.

Always informative
Have been seeing Dr. Yalvac for more than two years now. He is very approachable. Takes his time. Fairly short waiting time. His office staff is efficient. Testing is always done by appointment. He has a scribe with him, to take down notes for him, so all his attention is on the patient. My meds are just right. He will listen carefully to you, so if anything is off he will pick up on that and give suggestions. All in all, for me ,he is a great doctor.
I find dr very intested in finding the cause of some of my blood results. Very sincere about his concern for my well being. Very personable with a great way of discussing the issues at hand.
