Dr. Chavez received his medical degree from University of Guadalajara School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Hospital Valentin Gomez Farias in Zapopan, Mexico and later completed his Family Medicine Residency at San Joaquin General Hospital in French Camp, California.
