I just started visiting Francisco Cruz, MD, and began with his assistant, Mimi, who is extremely sweet, kind, likable, and patient. His secretary Mel is efficient, and courteous. In general, his staff is highly courteous from the Show moretime I called for an appointment, they're very friendly, and made me feel comfortable and welcome during my visit. I’ve been impressed by Dr Cruz's kindness, patience, and knowledge. He took the time to go over my lengthy diagnoses and list of medications and discussed them with me. Dr Cruz is not only knowledgeable but I had an allergic reaction to an antibiotic I was given at the Urgent Care a day prior, and the Dr had the courtesy to CALL ME AT HOME, HIMSELF, several times to check my condition and set up a treatment plan. I appreciate Dr Cruz's call back to check on my progress. In over thirty years of being a patient and having several doctors assist me, this is the first time I have received a call back from the doctor himself! Dr Cruz is amazing. He listened carefully and addressed all my concerns. You don’t have to wait long for appointments and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend Dr Cruz and his office!

Francisco Cruz, MD, PA, is a skilled internist serving patients in and around Miami, Florida. From his office, Dr. Cruz and his team bring unmatched care to patients and their families.
Born and raised in Havana, Cuba, Dr. Cruz received his Doctorate of Medicine from The Higher Institute of Medical Sciences of Havana in 1988. He completed his specialty training in Family Medicine in 1993.
Relocating to the United States, Dr. Cruz completed his Internal Medicine residency through the Raritan Bay Medical Center, affiliated with Robert Wood Johnson University, and served as Chief Resident. He practiced in Miami for several years following, and finally opened his private practice in 2005. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
With experience working as a hospitalist for 20 years, Dr. Cruz was part of the credential department and a member of the Executive Committee for many years at Jackson South Hospital. He served as a Medical Director in several Skilled Nursing facilities, leading excellent service for post-acute and long-term care.
Dr. Cruz has been practicing Internal Medicine in Florida for over two decades at different levels of care. He prides himself in providing excellent, personal care to all his patients to help prevent minor to significant health issues and treat them.
Dr. Cruz loves being part of the Miami community and spends time with his family when not in the office.
