I starting seeing Dr. Freeman in November. I am so impressed with my progress. My cravings are under control. I have lost 14 since then and still loosing. My attitude on life is remarkable. I have so much confidence. I am so grateShow moreful for Dr. Freeman's coaching. That is what makes the difference. At 70 I feel on top of the world. I defintely recommend her services.
Dr. Freeman is an excellent physician. She spends time with her patients and is a good diagnostician. She figured out why my arm kept going dead and set me on a three-pronged treatment that corrected the problem. In the course of Show moretreatment, she noticed some other physical problems and treated them as well. This is an important point because I was not even aware of the problems

Got questions for
Dr. Georgeanne Freeman, DO?
More than a doctor’s office, Dr. Georgeanne Freeman runs a family medicine wellness clinic, Downtown Doctor, centrally located in Austin for those who live, work, or play in the downtown area.
Texas born and bred, Dr. Freeman grew up in Houston. Growing up in Houston gave Dr. Freeman the opportunity to become a passionate surfer. She was able to surf the Freeport pier, Galveston beach during storms and various Mexico beaches. It may surprise you to know that you can surf a 2-3 foot wave. Dr. Freeman explains that in Texas, surfers use styrofoam boards when the waves are flat. The longer the board, the easier it is to catch small waves.
After Houston, she spent a number of years living and practicing medicine in rural America - namely in the Appalachian Mountains and the Ozark Mountains. Her love of Austin began during high school when she spent a summer session at St. Stephen’s Episcopal School. Over the ensuing years she visited friends and family in the area, falling deeper and deeper in love with Central Texas.
On her way back to Texas, Dr. Freeman made stopovers in Portland, OR to complete her undergraduate degree; in Johnson City, TN where she completed a Master of Public Health degree at East Tennessee State University; in Des Moines, IA to complete her Doctorate in Osteopathy at the University of Osteopathic Medicine & Health Sciences (now Des Moines University); in Kingsport TN for a rotating internship; and then finished up her residency training at the University of Washington in Seattle.
There is often confusion when differentiating between a physician with a medical degree (MD) and a physician with a doctorate in osteopathic medicine (DO). MDs and DOs are similarly educated and certified, but there are differences in their training and philosophy of patient care. You will find that most MDs practice allopathic medicine, a more traditional medicine based on diagnosis and treatment of specific diseases where a DO approaches the “whole person” to reach a diagnosis rather than treating symptoms. In addition, DOs are trained in osteopathic manipulation treatment (OMT), the therapeutic application of manual techniques to address the changes in body structure to improve physiologic function. As a DO, Dr. Freeman believes in tapping into the innate healing properties we all have by using internal and external methods of healing.
Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Freeman has worked in emergency rooms, hospitals, and clinics. She is also trained in bio-identical hormones and botox and juvederm cosmetic procedures. As a country doctor, she learned a lot about medicine and made house calls. A favorite memory is delivering flu shots on horseback with insulated saddlebags to an elderly couple who lived nearby.
Also an avid swimmer and skier, you can also find Dr. Freeman biking to and from the clinic.
Now in its 11th year, Freeman Medical Clinic offers a full-spectrum of care. You can find services from ADHD evaluation and treatment to well-women and well-men exams. In addition, the clinic provides walk-in urgent care and even makes house calls. A particularly popular treatment is IV hydration (www.hippohydrate.com) - a custom mix of vitamins, electrolytes, and medication along with IV fluids for migraine headaches, athletes and those seeking optimal health.

10 out of 10 very kind, and highly knowledgeable. Dr freeman is everything you’d expect from someone who actually cares about the wellbeing of others.
Dr. Celeste Pitts & Dr. Freeman are the best at what they do and caring for their patients!

As someone with a complex medical history and anxiety, I cannot recommend this clinic enough. Your care and treatment is completely personalized and no concern goes unaddressed. There is no 2-4 week wait on appointments or lab results. Celeste and Josh are so kind and supportive as well!
Dr. Freeman and Dr. Pitts are the two best doctors I have ever had and always take the very best care of me. :-)
Dr. Freeman and her staff are very responsive every time I need an appointment. Everyone is so nice.
Dr. Freeman and team are amazing people. Appreciate everything they do for me and highly recommend.
The doctor was very nice and tried to find solutions. She was very responsive to my needs. My only concern is the cost since they do not accept insurance.
I appreciate all the work they do here for me. I'm happy with my Doctor.
Dr. Freeman spent one hour and fifteen minutes with me investigating the cause(s) of my neck pain. When I mentioned that my daughter is pregnant, she told me what immunizations I should have. She also made a recommendation for how I might get insurance to pay for Ozempic for my diabetes and explained again the manifold benefits of this drug.
Always great service !
Dr. Freeman and her NP, Celeste Pitts, are both wonderful! I have been a patient of theirs for 3 years now. They both always take the time to listen to my concerns and do what’s right for my body. They respond quickly to my questions and medication needs in between appointments as well!
Ill be back!!
Dr. Freeman provides a holistic approach to her patient's health: physically, cognitively and emotionally. Under her care, I am secure that my mental and physical well-being are part of the plan of care.
I was treated immediately and celeste and Linda were very very nice
Overwhelmingly good. Dr. Freeman and Celeste always generously attend to me and my increasing physical issues. They are knowledgeable and able to explain things well. I feel confident that they are taking good care of my medical needs.
Highly recommend Dr. Freeman and include her incredible staff. They make me feel important, heard, and take time to actually listen to my needs. In addition, you can phone them anytime and they will work with you over the phone. If you can’t make it in. Bonus, they have great products and Celeste does the best Botox I have had so far.
This is great, personalized service. Dr. Freeman took time with me, listened, explained, provided excellent information and options for my future health care goals. This is the kind of expertise, service, and attention we all want from our health care providers.
The staff is so welcoming and professional
I called Dr. Freeman's office to secure the transfer of a prescription to another pharmacy and Dr. Freeman herself answered the phone and immediately began reviewing my chart and previous bloodwork.
Responsive, caring professionals that I highly recommend!
Dr. Freeman and staff are great. Kind, compassionate and caring.
