Hamid Kamran, MD, FACG, is a board-certified gastroenterologist who is proud to provide care to men and women throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex at Arlington Gastroenterology Services in Arlington, Texas.
Dr. Kamran received his medical degree in 1986 from Allama Iqbal Medical College at the University of Punjab in Lahore, Pakistan. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine in Montgomery, Alabama. He then completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans.
After a stint as a professor of gastroenterology at Louisiana State University School of Medicine, Dr. Kamran started his own private practice in Texas in 2002. He brings experience in treating a full range of conditions affecting the digestive system, including colon cancer, gastroenterological reflux disease, inflammatory bowel diseases, and diseases of the liver and pancreas.
Dr. Kamran is board-certified in gastroenterology and belongs to several professional organizations, including the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Texas Medical Association and Tarrant County Medical Society.
When he’s not practicing medicine, Dr. Kamran enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, going to movies, traveling, skiing and listening to music.

Knowledgeable and professional. However, I felt rushed by the checkout staff.
Aside from completing online info, then having to do more at the office, everything else went great. The staff is polite and knowledgeable and Dr. Kamran was good.

Quick evasive I didn't have to wait long he met my needs very friendly and got straight to the point go see this doctor he cares
Staff is somewhat disorganized. I guess medical notes are not fully read to setup appts and blood work. Had to call about where to go for bloodwork, and sonogram of liver. Nothing was said at checkout. This has happened before. Waiting for hospital to call for exam and Quest? For bloodwork. Problems with relies on patient portal too?
Willing to work with you and address all your issues with a smile. I highly recommend MD Kamran. He takes the time to answer all your questions and the staff are always smiling and positive.

I liked him - I liked his dry wit - I liked that he had once taught gastroenterology at the college level. He certainly seems to know about gastroenterology and seems interested in helping his patients.
