Heidi Folk, MPT

I am a Bismarck native and I graduated from the University of North Dakota with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy in 2001. I, myself, have struggles since high school with 7 surgical procedures between my two knees and learned from an early age how spectacular the human body is and how it can heal effectively. I graduated youngest in my class from UND. I now have 15 years of experience in an outpatient neurological clinic setting. I strive to treat patient the way I would want to be treated in their position. I teach people strategies to empower themselves, along with some “good ol’ TLC” to the aching body. I utilize modalities, manual therapy, Graston Technique (sine 2008) and neuromuscular re-education though in depth, detailed, postural restoration. I put heavy emphasis on positioning and gait training I have learned though 8 continuing education coursed from the Postural Restoration Institute, since 2005. I help educate my patients to work “smarter, not harder”.
