Dr. Devakumar completed a Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology) fellowship and is dual board certified in both OB/GYN and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. She specializes in a variety of pelvic floor disorders, including: pelvic prolapse, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, bowel incontinence, painful bladder, and pelvic pain. She is committed to combining evidence-based care with advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques to help patients restore function and improve their quality of life. Central to her approach is providing highly individualized, patient-centered care, ensuring that every treatment plan is thoughtfully tailored to each patient’s unique needs, goals, and lifestyle.
Originally from India, Dr. Devakumar pursued medical training in the United Kingdom before moving to the United States. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Atlantic Health in New Jersey, where she served as Administrative Chief Resident and was honored as Resident of the Year. She further advanced her expertise through fellowship training at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, gaining specialized experience in minimally invasive treatments for pelvic floor disorders, including neuromodulation and bladder Botox therapy.
Dr. Devakumar has proudly served the Phoenix community for the past 8 years and is thrilled to embark on an exciting new chapter in her career. She looks forward to continuing to provide compassionate, patient-centered care while building meaningful relationships with her patients.
Actively engaged in an evolving field, Dr. Devakumar has contributed to research presented at national and international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals. She has also authored a book chapter and served as a reviewer for urogynecology journals.
In her spare time, Dr. Devakumar enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
