I have been a patient of Advanced Laser and Skin Cancer Center for many, many years. I have seen a few of the doctors there in the past and have always been very satisfied with the care I have had. I was always diagnosed correctShow morely and given the best treatment every time. The women in the office are also very pleasant, caring and helpful and very good at getting you in at your appt time. Yesterday I had seen Dr Heaton for the first time and I must say, I was not disappointed, he is fabulous! Very caring, compassionate, attentive, personable, highly knowledgeable doctor with an excellent mannerism. He was also very quick with my procedure which was painless after asking me several times if I felt anything. His assistant was so sweet, right there by my side making sure I was comfortable. They put my fears and concerns at ease. I most definitely recommend Dr. Heaton and ALSCC for any of your skin concerns or issues.
Dr. Henry Heaton is an excellent doctor who really cares about his patients. He carefully explains what needs to be done and is very calm and patient in those explanations. Before becoming a patient of Dr. Heaton, I had seen other doctors in this practice, as well as seeing Dr. Ragi himself, and I have never been disappointed at the quality of care that I have received from each of the outstanding doctors, all of whom have graduated from impressive schools and have excellent credentials. In fact, for years my husband has been seeing Dr. Ragi, who has performed Mohs surgery on his face and there is no evidence of this at all. I would say that Dr. Ragi takes time to vet each doctor whom he hires for his practice in order to make sure that each doctor, whether male or female, is the right fit for his practice.
Henry Heaton, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist as well as a fellowship-trained and board-certified Mohs surgeon. He is the Associate Director at Advanced Laser and Skin Cancer Center, having performed several thousand Mohs surgeries in addition to various laser and dermatologic surgeries. Dr. Heaton provides comprehensive care to teenagers and adults in Teaneck, New Jersey.
Dr. Heaton’s attended medical school at SUNY Downstate, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude as the valedictorian of his medical school class. He completed his Dermatology residency at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, and his fellowship training in Mohs Surgery at Rowan University, New Jersey. Dr. Heaton also pursued extensive training during his internship at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Dr. Heaton has published several scientific research articles and textbook chapters. He has received numerous awards for his role as an educator of medical students and resident physicians. Dr. Heaton is an Associate Member of the American College of Mohs Surgery, a Member of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a Member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.

I have been a patient of Dr. Heaton for many MOH surgeries and other pre-cancerous problems. I had a serious problem with cancer on the top of my nose. I am so happy with the results from the MOH surgery where skin had to be replaced. I would recommend Dr. Heaton very highly. He is a very caring Dr. by listening to you and explaining procedures.

Dr. Heaton’s office is both friendly and efficient. I had surgery done to remove a cancerous mole right on my cheek. Due to the skill and aftercare provided by Dr. Heaton, the one inch incision healed without leaving a trace of the scar. I am so very grateful.

I had squamous cell cancer on my nose. Dr Heaton performed a skin graft after he removed the cancer with Mohs surgery. One year later there is no visible scar. Everyone is amazed at his skill. Furthermore, Dr Heaton is very easy to talk to, compassionate and understanding. What more can I say.
