Jacob Payne

Jacob Payne, MSN, FNP, began his nursing career in 2021 after earning his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from James Madison University. He returned to JMU to complete his Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration in 2026. For over four years he worked as a pediatric nurse at UVA, where he spent caring for children and supporting families through compassionate practice. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Jacob is driven by a commitment to community health. He values shared decision‑making, evidence-based practice, preventive care, and building long‑term relationships with his patients. Outside of work Jacob enjoys fitness, running marathons and ultramarathons, lifting weights, spending time outdoors, and sharing life with his wife.
