Dr. Jakkula is a nice doctor who listens to your concerns and issues. He is patient and helpful in understanding of your needs. He is not pushy and understands all patients have different problems. He does show concern.
Although I called in advance to let their office know my employment-based insurance was cancelled, & I didn't log on for appt, Dr. Jakkula called ME anyways, & because I answered the call, they wanted me to pay $75, maybe $175, can't remember. Months later when they called for payment, I explained that MediCal retroactively applied to that period, they still couldn't figure it out. Further, any question that took our call over three minutes was treated as an inconvenience. probably not his fault
We were very satisfied with the way he was concerned and was listening to us. We really appreciated his time and we were happy to meet with him.

Dr. Jakkula has been my psychiatrist for a few years now. He helped change from a medication with higher side effects to one with lower side effects. It has been easy to get appointments with him and he has been helpful in adjusting medications as needed.

Dr. Jakkula has an excellent care team. He's very understanding and caring, with a great "bedside" manner. Being honest with yourself and going all in for your mental health is a game changer. It works because this care team work excellently together.

I feel the meeting was rushed, I filled a form online and but couldn't find it. The form can be completed in 2 mins but instead of asking me to fill the form and evaluating it there, he asked his assistant to print and he'll review later. So I left without knowing what is actually going on with me. Also appears inattentive but maybe due to all the typing on the computer, need to seriously consider using a human scribe or AI scribe to help him take notes.

He always listens and asks about my feelings if I want to discontinue meds or not very attentive
He is a good a caring doctor however simillar to most when it comes to controlled medication such as Adderall there is a limit set for them. The result is suffering for ADHD patients who need higher than average doses.
