I was looking for an Ortho Surgeon for my current sciatic nerve pain. I must say my first impression from my initial call to Dr Graham's office through to my first visit (yesterday) has been excellent. Through this journey thus fShow morear I have felt they truly and genuinely care about me and my health concern. Much of this experience was delivered by Kristin (who you speak with when you call and greeted by when you arrive for your appt.) and continued with Dr Graham. So off to a great start and have no reason to think this level of care and concern will deviate as I continue this journey with Dr Graham. I was referred to Dr Graham by a lady I known for years.
Dr. Graham has been my surgeon for over a decade. He is patient when explaining the options you may have before a decision is made to have surgery. His conservative practice gives me comfort in knowing that surgery is not always tShow morehe first option presented. Michael Graham, Ph.D., M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in the evaluation and treatment of all types of spinal disorders in adults, including neck pain, back pain, disc problems, and pinched nerves. Dr. Graham is skilled in a variety of innovative diagnostic and treatment methods. At the Northwest Spine Center in The Woodlands, Texas, patients receive comprehensive, conservative, and compassionate care in order to achieve healing.
Dr. Graham is active in several professional organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, The Texas Medical Association, The Texas Orthopaedic Society, and the Harris County Medical Society. He previously served on the Patient Safety Committee of the North American Spine Society and he also previously served as president of the Texas Spine Society.
Dr. Graham earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical School in Houston, Texas. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Graham completed a one-year internship in General Surgery and then a four-year residency in Orthopedic Surgery at The University of Texas Medical School in Houston, Texas. After that, Dr. Graham completed a one-year fellowship in spine surgery in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, also in Houston, Texas. Dr. Graham has authored or co-authored several scientific and medical research articles in spinal surgery.
Dr. Graham treats all spine-related conditions in adults and considers all non-invasive options before recommending surgery. He focuses on achieving optimal improvement in pain and other symptoms through custom treatment plans and individual attention to patient needs. Dr Graham is a wonderful surgeon. He did surgery on my back many years back and helped me SO much. I trust him to the fullest. If he told me today that I needed surgery I would go home and pack my bag for the hospital. He is one of the few I would let near my spine with a knife.

This being our 1st visit Dr. Graham was cheerful and friendly, ordering new MRI before being more specific as to the problem. Good experience would have MRI set up and will advise when and where.
Admin staff professional and thorough. Dr. Graham was attentive to my concerns and devised a clear plan of care. He also took the time to discuss other medical issues in my history and urged me to follow up with appropriate specialists.
The staff was incredible at helping me with scheduling and registration. Dr. Graham was attentive when listening and thorough when explaining. Couldn’t ask for more.
