Dr Westervelt is amazing! I've been going to him since 2018. He does an amazing job with surgeries and is an artist with making scars look beautiful. He is very diligent and compassionate towards his patients with their health issShow moreues, and makes sure you heal well. If you have any issues, he takes his time to find out what might be going wrong, refers you to the right person to help, or does what he can to ensure you are healing properly. I wouldn't go to anyone else! And definitely recommend him
Dr. Westervelt and his staff have been wonderful. I am new to the area, but suddenly required surgery on a tight (non-emergency) schedule. His staff helped me make sure I could get all of my pre-op testing work done in a timely Show moremanner so I could get on the surgical schedule. After-surgery was also handled well. Everyone is so kind and helpful. If you tend to be fairly active, make sure you ask dr for clear instructions on what you are allowed to do/not do. Bottom line--you can't do much!

Dr Westervelt is a wonderful, kind gentle man with amazing bedside manner. He has preformed multiple surgeries on me and I'm going back to him again for another. There's no other surgen I would rather have cut me open and fix my guts. Thank you Dr Westervelt.
Seamless and efficient process. I always get to the appt 5-10 minutes early, and usually still wait. I was shown right in! Dr. Westervelt was very informative, and I am actually feeling good about the hernia surgery I have scheduled now!

Although Dr. Westervelt was delayed due to emergencies his kind and calm demeanor was quite refreshing. His nurse Adrienne was very engaging and efficient.
Dr. Westervelt provided incredible care to both me and my family. He thoroughly answered my questions and never made me feel rushed. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had with a doctor, and I am grateful for his time, his talent, his attention to detail, and his personal follow-up.

Dr. Westervelt is extremely kind and informative.. takes time with you to answer any questions and his office staff efficient and kind. My husband had a surgery with him and now that I need surgery I knew exactly where i wanted to go.

I went to Dr James Westervelt for a Cleft lift surgery for a pilonidal cyst. He is a wonderful surgeon who has an excellent bedside manner as well as exemplary surgical skills. Recovery was excellent and he made sure that I was comfortable.

I am a retired cardiac critical care nurse. During my career, I have worked with many surgeons. Dr. James Westervelt is truly the real deal. 1st, he listens to you and gives you undivided attention. 2nd, he completely educates you on what is going to happen. 3rd,he is super friendly and compassionate. 4th, he is extremely meticulous. 5th his office staff are super friendly and helpful. If you need a surgeon...look no further. Will Kindt, RN, CCICU, CVICU.
Streamlined process. I walked in early and barely sat down when i was led to a exam room. Dr came in within 2 minutes. In 10 minures i knew what i wanted to know and set a date for surgery.
