After graduating from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, Dr. Zelaya attended the New York University School of Medicine. He completed dual residencies in internal medicine at the Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Division of Dermatology in Bronx, New York, where he was chief resident. Dr. Zelaya went on to finish a cosmetic apprenticeship with Dr. George Farber in New Orleans.
Hard-working and prominent in his field, Dr. Zelaya is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Contact Dermatitis Society. For over two decades, Dr. Zelaya has been in practice with offices in both Brooklyn and Manhattan, New York.
