Three years ago, I fell off the face of the earth, but Dr Majahan pulled me back and put the pieces of the puzzle back together again. With his due diligence of diagnosing my illness, the perfect meditation paired with physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy, I am a new woman. I was glad to get a last-minute appointment with the N.P., Kristian, in lieu of a cancelled appointment with Dr. Kamen. Kristian was very helpful and professional and sought answers for my concerns with one of the doctors. I was aShow morelso impressed that Dr. Mahajan came in to the office to meet with us to quell my anxiety about the new medication I was taking and having to switch doctors at such an inconvenient time. He told us about the new specialist, Dr. Zhang, who will be starting the practice in December and this convinced me that my needs will be met going forward. I left the office feeling so much better!
Jay Mahajan, DO, is a board-certified neurologist at Las Vegas Neurology Center. He has resided in Las Vegas, Nevada, for over ten years. Born and raised on the West coast, he has anchored himself in Nevada and is dedicated to serving the Las Vegas community.
Dr. Mahajan was selected to be a member of the University of California at San Francisco's biomedical internship program at a young age, sparking his interest in medicine. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California at Berkeley University and University of Southern California in biological sciences and biomedical ethics, where he was on the Dean’s list and a member of the Biology Scholar’s Program.
After achieving his undergraduate degree, Dr. Mahajan relocated to Nevada where he received his medical degree at Touro University Nevada. Upon completion of medical school here in the Valley, Dr. Mahajan felt invested in the Las Vegas community. Devoted to maintain his medical services, he accepted a position in the neurology residency program at the Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas where he served as Chief Resident. He was awarded Resident of the Year honors in addition to awards for service excellence during his residency.
He is co-founder of Las Vegas Neurology Center and the primary neurologist for Centennial Hills Hospital. He was nominated and elected by his peers to serve as a member of the Medical Executive Committee at Centennial Hills Hospital. In January 2016, he was selected as Outstanding Physician at Centennial Hill Hospital. He is also core faculty for the Neurology Residency Program at the Valley Hospital Medical Center, where he thoroughly enjoys teaching residents and medical students. Practicing medicine and teaching is one of Dr. Mahajan’s greatest passions. During his free time he also enjoys reading, exercising, and traveling.
Dr. Mahajan was awarded the Top Doctor Award for Top Neurologist 2016-2017 & Vegas Top Doctors 2020.
