The best neurological doctor I have ever encountered in my years of being treated for my condition. My experience with neurologists have been very poor and I find them to be strange providers and some might even say weird. This doShow morector is a people person this doctor looks at you globally. This doctor will treat you as an entire person not your neurological condition. It was so refreshing and I was so pleased with the outcome the options, the treatments, the labs, the diagnostics he wanted to perform and ordered I highly recommend Dr. Mahajan. Dr. Jay Mahajan was very pleasant and easy to talk to. And professional! His office has been very good and fast at get my test done in rapid time with no problems. Many of the Doctors in Vegas are like a slow train to China gettiShow moreng your referrals approved, ordered and done. But, so far... After my first visit, I had two test done in just a few days. And totally have appreciated that and still have 3 others test to still have done. Dr. Mahajan seems to be a doctor,who wants the best done for his patients. Looking forward to getting my results and getting real answers.
Jay Mahajan, DO, is a board-certified neurologist at Las Vegas Neurology Center. He has resided in Las Vegas, Nevada, for over ten years. Born and raised on the West coast, he has anchored himself in Nevada and is dedicated to serving the Las Vegas community.
Dr. Mahajan was selected to be a member of the University of California at San Francisco's biomedical internship program at a young age, sparking his interest in medicine. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California at Berkeley University and University of Southern California in biological sciences and biomedical ethics, where he was on the Dean’s list and a member of the Biology Scholar’s Program.
After achieving his undergraduate degree, Dr. Mahajan relocated to Nevada where he received his medical degree at Touro University Nevada. Upon completion of medical school here in the Valley, Dr. Mahajan felt invested in the Las Vegas community. Devoted to maintain his medical services, he accepted a position in the neurology residency program at the Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas where he served as Chief Resident. He was awarded Resident of the Year honors in addition to awards for service excellence during his residency.
He is co-founder of Las Vegas Neurology Center and the primary neurologist for Centennial Hills Hospital. He was nominated and elected by his peers to serve as a member of the Medical Executive Committee at Centennial Hills Hospital. In January 2016, he was selected as Outstanding Physician at Centennial Hill Hospital. He is also core faculty for the Neurology Residency Program at the Valley Hospital Medical Center, where he thoroughly enjoys teaching residents and medical students. Practicing medicine and teaching is one of Dr. Mahajan’s greatest passions. During his free time he also enjoys reading, exercising, and traveling.

I love Dr Mahajan. My problem is that I don’t like to be handed off to someone after my first few visits. I am very unhappy with the doctor that they gave me. I’m also very disturbed with anytime that I try calling the office, I either get put on hold, disconnected or told that they need to call me back and never do. I have been very patient and very accommodating for the last 3 yrs but NO MORE.

Possibly the nicest, most thorough Doctor I’ve ever seen. It was my first visit with the Doctor and the Nurse Practitioner, Bernadette (also so very warm and caring). They made me feel like I really mattered and they care to get to the bottom of my issue. The only unfortunate part is, I can’t get in for my follow up for 4 months. That’s a bit long to wait, but I would recommend this practice! Thank you!
As always Dr. Mahajan takes the time to grab a seat, catch up since my last visit and make me feel relaxed during our appointments. He ensures I am of good health both physically/mentally and that his treatment plan is working as it should.
Cannot get a more knowledgeable and caring doctor! As I navigate my health, I know that Dr. Mahajan is covering all the basis. The office makes me feel like I am important - like family. I know improving my quality of Life will because I have him as a doctor. He talks to me like I am a real person. Never rushed! And takes my thoughts into consideration for treatment. Love this doc! But don’t tell anyone - I don’t want him to get too busy.

It went well, unfortunately it was regarding getting older, even though forgetfulness could be at any age . He was very thorough, but had a very unique sense of humor, which puts me in a relaxed atmosphere. Both Drs we re very professional and answered allquestions in a language I could do as
Dr. Mahajan is thorough and kind and takes good care of his patients. Hopefully you don’t need a neurologist, but if you do, I recommend he without any reservations.
