Meet Dr. Bukkapatnam
Jayasri Bukkapatnam, MD, is an OB/GYN serving patients in Atlanta, Georgia. She joined the team at Atlanta Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates in April 2015.
Dr. Bukkapatnam is a graduate of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where she received a Bachelor of Science in biology. After receiving her medical degree from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies (WPHfWB). She was named Assistant Director of Medical Education OBGYN at WPHfWB in 2010, where she was responsible for staffing inpatient labor and delivery, gynecology and triage, as well as the outpatient gynecology clinic. While there, Dr. Bukkapatnam also taught and managed residents and medical students.
She is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Bukkapatnam is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is affiliated with Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.

I have been seeing Dr. Barrett for 30 years. So sorry to see him retire. Congratulations and enjoy many years of retirement.
Scheduling the appointment was very easy, and I was able to check in online ahead of time. Dr Barratt is kind, attentive, answers all my questions, and thorough with his examination. When asked he recommended a physician to replace himself since he is retiring. After seeing him I was able to have a mammogram completed in the same building even though I did not have a scheduled appointment saving me another trip into Atlanta from Senoia. I have been a patient at this practice for over 40 years and will continue seeing these doctors because I trust their judgement and appreciate their services.

Very friendly and courteous staff. Dr. Bukkapatnam took the time to answer my many health related questions. She is extremely knowledgeable. I really appreciate the time she took with me. It was refreshing that I was not rushed out the door!
Dr Barratt is the best doctor I and my daughter have ever had in all these trusted 20 years. He cares, is kind and meticulous- NEVER reflects anything but a Pleasant demeanor no matter a circumstance and always made us feel Calm and safe. There will Never be another like him, he will Be so very missed.

Dr. B is by far the best female doctor both from a knowledge perspective as well as her incredible bedside manner. She makes you so comfortable in what is typically not a comfortable situation. 100% recommend her!

Appointments are efficient with very little waiting. The doctor is courteous, listens well and provides detailed medical advice.
I loved it! Brittany was amazing and personable the technician who performed the mammogram was amazing and of course Dr Bukk was patient personable she answered every question. Everyone explained what was going to happen before it happened. I’m excited that this team is now a part of my medical team! I’m 52 and it’s the best experience I’ve ever had at an OB/GYN.
