Dr. Jean and her awesome staff got me in same day and did the procedure as well. I have never had a medical appointment/procedure happen so quickly! She opened her self-titled colon and rectal surgery practice in 1999 and brings years of exceptional training and experience to her community. She offers compassionate and effective treatment for a variety of conditions including hemorrhoids, anal fistulas, pilonidal cysts, fecal incontinence, anal fissures, and more.
Dr. Jaffke was born and raised in Michigan. She completed her bachelor’s degree at Central Michigan University before going on to earn her medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine. She served her residency in general surgery at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan. Dr. Jaffke also completed prestigious fellowship training in colon and rectal surgery at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Jaffke is double board-certified in general surgery and colon and rectal surgery. She’s also a member of a variety of medical societies including the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Jaffke enjoys spending time with her two beautiful daughters and outdoor activities including hiking, skiing, and kayaking. She has been a volunteer medical staff member for the Michigan Special Olympics for over 20 years.

Dr Jaffke was very knowledgeable about her specialty and I felt totally comfortable with her recommendations for treatment. This was my initial visit and she suggested that the banding could be done immediately instead of having to come back to get started. This saved my time and the cost of another office visit copay.
