Today's experience I would rate lower than usual. Physically being at the office and my procedure went very well. Leadingnup to it however was not good. I had my procedure scheduled and then rescheduled due to a hurricane, and botShow moreh times I spoke to the nurse they told me there was no prep for this procedure. Then, today, 2 hours before my procedure they call and tell me they are going to call in a routine medication patients take before my procedure and that I will need to go get it immediately. They then say for the first time that I will also need to take it 30 min before and I will need someone else to drive me on the medicine. I had to run around last minute and scramble to get everything in order, which was especially difficult with a newborn at home. Was very frustrating to have to handle this last minute when someone obviously dropped the ball and didn't prep me for this day properly. Created a lot of unnecessary anxiety in an already difficult situation. I cannot say enough how great the actual office visot was however amd how great everyone was once there.
SWOR women center is fantastic. I feel truly cared for. For this experience, I was scheduled for an appointment one day after I had a concern with previous test results. I was in contact with Allison, via the patient portal, And Show moreheard back within an hour or so, and then an appointment was made for me to see Dr. Lichon the following day. I sincerely appreciated how the staff was on top of everything and how professional, kind, and truly caring they all are. It is so great to be at a doctors office where you know you will be taken care of in the way you deserve to be cared for. Thank you to the entire staff. Lori
Dr. Lichon (she/her) offers comprehensive, evidence-based obstetric and gynecologic care to all age groups. She specifically enjoys infertility care, prenatal care, providing breastfeeding support, treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding, and performing in-office procedures.
Before joining the Swor Women’s Care team, Dr. Lichon completed 12 years of education and training. She received her undergraduate degree at Michigan State University (Go Green!), where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science. She then completed medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Bradenton, Florida. Afterward, she returned to Michigan and completed a four-year OB/GYN residency program at Beaumont Hospital in Trenton, Michigan.
Dr. Lichon specializes in laparoscopic surgeries including robotics procedures with the da Vinci® surgery system for gynecological surgeries such as endometriosis, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, hysterectomies. In the office, Dr. Lichon excels in colposcopy, LEEP, and minor surgical procedures such as hysteroscopy dilation & curettage and uterine ablation.
Dr. Lichon, her husband Eric, and their daughters London (2018) and Claire (2022) like to spend free time with both sets of their families, who also reside in sunny Sarasota. Dr. Lichon loves to travel, work out on her Peloton, and have new experiences. They love the outdoors and staying busy.

I’ve been going to Swor for many years for my routine OB care and the birth of both my children. The staff have always been pleasant and friendly. Dr. Lichon provided my prenatal care as well as delivered both of my babies. She always listened to my questions and concerns. I always felt that I was in good hands with her. All staff is wonderful. Just have 1 issue w/ 1 staff members at the checkout desk. The waiting room and treatment rooms acoustic sounds are way too loud. Need sound absorbing items on walls .
Was very nice. She explained everything and answered my questions.
I was greeted by a friendly young lady. I waited only 5 minutes before being called by a friendly nurse who escorted me into the exam room. She took my vitals and explained everything they would happen during the exam. The doctor then came in and reiterated everything the nurse said. My exam was quick and painless. I was in and out of the office within 15 minutes. Everybody was super nice, professional and knowledgeable! I certainly will recommend this practice to others.
