Jennifer Wood, DDS, brings close to two decades of experience in general, preventive, and cosmetic dentistry to Westside Dentistry in Santa Monica, California, where she serves the men, women, and families of Los Angeles County.
Dr. Wood was born and raised in Santa Monica. She began her professional education at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in biology. She subsequently enrolled at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in Los Angeles and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2003.
During her time at USC, Dr. Wood regularly served underprivileged communities in California’s Central Valley as well as in Belize, Costa Rica, and Mexico. This work didn’t go unnoticed either; upon graduation, Dr. Wood received the Humanitarian Award for her service.
Since entering private practice, Dr. Wood has worked to establish close relationships with her patients. She loves getting to know them and creating customized care plans that improve their quality of life. Whenever possible, Dr. Wood uses conservative methods of treatment firmly rooted in scientific evidence. She always presents patients with valuable information and a range of treatment options to maintain their oral health.
Dr. Wood proudly holds membership in the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists. At one point, she also served on the board of the West Coast Oral-Maxillofacial Study Club.
When she isn’t augmenting her professional skills or meeting with patients, Dr. Wood enjoys spending time with her husband Jonathan and their two beautiful children. She also enjoys spending time at the beach and traveling.

Dr. Jennifer Wood is the absolute best. She has a wonderful demeanor and is always reassuring and calming. She is also absolutely wonderful with my toddler son and made his first dentist trip peaceful and fun. My husband and I both see her and know we are in excellent hands. The office is a happy place -- it was interesting to hear the positive tones coming from the other cubicles when I was having my teeth cleaned. Drs. Wood make it a happy place by treating their patients as if we were very close personal friends. It's a gift they have!

The staff was punctual. The dental hygienist did an outstanding job of cleaning and polishing my teeth. After the cleaning, I had a full set of X-Rays which Dr. Wood reviewed before giving me a full mouth examination.
