Two years ago, I visited this office for the first time and I really wasn’t pleased with the way some of the medical assistant staff behaved — I can’t say all of them, but some, in terms of their conduct (excessively loud tone of Show morevoice, laughing, dancing, etc.). I recently visited again and the change has been noticeable: more order, respect, courtesy. Without a doubt, I will continue visiting.

Jeremy M. Cotliar is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Eye Care & Surgery in New York City, which has has three convenient locations: in New York City, in the Bronx , and in New Rochelle. Dr. Cotliar specializes in glaucoma surgery, manual and laser-assisted cataract surgery, refractive surgery (LASIK and PRK), and premium intraocular lens (IOL) technology. He also performs Botox and filler injections in his office. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
Dr. Cotliar received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis and earned his medical degree at Albany Medical College in New York. Dr. Cotliar completed a three-year ophthalmology residency at Montefiore Medical Center at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. He then completed a year of training in glaucoma eye surgery at the University of California at Irvine, followed by a mini-LASIK fellowship with Dr. Michael Vrabec of Appleton, Wisconsin.
Dr. Cotliar is certified and experienced in minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS), including iStent, Kahook Dual-Blade goniotomy, OMNI canaloplasty/ goniotomy, Iridex micropulse laser, and many other procedures. Dr. Cotliar tailors individual plans for all of his surgery patients.
Dr. Cotliar is a member of the voluntary ophthalmology faculty at New York-Presbyterian Hospital of Columbia University, where he trains residents and fellows in cataract, glaucoma, pterygium, and other anterior segment eye surgeries.
Dr. Cotliar maintains his advanced credentials with continuing education to stay up to date with the latest developments in ophthalmology. He’s a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), and the American Glaucoma Society.
Dr. Cotliar has surgical privileges at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai in Manhattan’s East Village. He is currently accepting new patients and welcomes them to Eye Care & Surgery.

Different experience from my right eye surgery elsewhere but nonetheless, very pleasant with Dr. Cotliar's facility. Dr. Cotliar works very fast but efficiently. His stay are well organized and very professional n polite. Dr. Cotliar speaks both Enfgish and Spanish which is a great plus!! Enjoyed hearing him speak Spanish.
