This was my first visit with Dr. Pang. I was a little hesitant to see a new psychiatrist at first, my prior one had retired, but Dr. Pang made me feel so comfortable from the first moment I met him. Unfortunately, I have a lot of Show morechronic conditions and on a long list of medications. Some of these conditions and medication‘s most physicians aren’t even aware of but Dr. Pang was very knowledgeable of all of them. His bedside manner and personality made me feel much better about seeing a new provider. I will definitely be returning.

Jim Pang, Jr., MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist at Interventional Psychiatry Group in Memphis, Tennessee. He has been in practice since 1978 and holds licenses to practice medicine in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi.
Dr. Pang graduated from Southwestern (now Rhodes College) in 1973 and the University of Arkansas School of Medicine in 1977. He completed his residency in psychiatry at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine, where he was also chief resident. He came to Memphis in 1987 to work as a psychiatrist and medical director at Lakeside Behavioral Health after teaching psychiatry as an assistant clinical professor at the University of Vermont School of Medicine for six years.
In addition to seeing patients at Methodist Hospital in Memphis and Magnolia Regional Health Center, he is the Chairman of Psychiatry at Saint Francis Hospital in Memphis and the medical director for Delta Behavioral Health in Manila and Blytheville, Arkansas.
When not seeing patients, Dr. Jim Pang, Jr. can be found cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks. Woo Pig Sooie!

I love Dr Pang's slow approach to meds as a new patient. He is rhe kindness physcrist i have ever seen. I had appointment once a week so he could check my progress. They are always there to answer your calls, even after hours.
I have never really felt heard of as understood as I have in the few sessions that I be had with Dr Pang
Dr Pang is the first physcrist in my 30 years of being diagnosed with bi polar who has cared aboyt the treatments he gives me. I love his approach to not changing or adding medications in one visit. However, if you need to come once a week to accomplish that the. He sees you as often as needed. I am so blessed to have such a caring doctor.
Dr Pang is very thoughtful and pleasant. He listens to what you have to say and is very knowledgeable. I am so thankful to have him as my doctor.
He and the observer listened to my plights, he gave me a referral to a therapist that specializes in my situation. But most of all he listened and made me feel extremely welcomed and heard
Waiting time was short and the interview with Dr Pang was very cordial and helpful.

My meeting with Dr. Pang was wonderful. After explaining in detail what had occurred in my life recently, he quickly provided his diagnosis and did not require any follow-up visits. I was do fortunate to meet him. I especially liked the way the associates were dressed in Christmas costumes.
