About Dr. Holder

John Holder, MD, is a skilled anesthesiologist and pain medicine physician practicing at Johnston Pain Management, P.A., which has three convenient locations in Jacksonville, New Bern, and Sneads Ferry, North Carolina. His mission is to provide integrative care to patients living in and around Onslow and Craven Counties.
Dr. Holder completed his residency in anesthesiology at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle in 2013. He then went on to specialty fellowship training in pain management at Duke University, where he won best clinical abstract in 2013 at the annual Carolina Pain Society meeting.
To abreast of the latest advances in the field of medicine, Dr. Holder is a member of the Carolina Pain Society, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and the American Academy of Pain Medicine.
