Dr. Monroe was very attentive and cared about my blood test results. We discussed certain parts of it and how it affects my health. We also discussed a recent urology procedure that I had . I was very satisfied with the time speShow morent and his conclusions as to how to proceed for the future.
John Monroe, MD, founded Healthy Life Family Medicine in Goodyear, Arizona, in 2007. As a board-certified family physician, Dr. Monroe provides compassionate, patient-focused care to people of all ages. He’s committed to helping families in and around the communities west of Phoenix improve and protect their health.
Dr. Monroe completed his undergraduate studies at Arizona State University in Tempe. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Dr. Monroe served his family medicine residency at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, including a year as chief resident. He’s certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Monroe diagnoses, treats, and manages a wide range of health concerns such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and back and joint pain. He also offers physical exams and acute medical care for illnesses and injuries. Felt rushed and didn’t get the answers to my questions. Overall, it’s been a good place to go, but this visit was very unsuccessful.
This was our first visit to Dr Monroe for my wife and I. The check in through the pre- examination process to being seated in the exam room were prompt, friendly and efficient. Our wait in the exam room was short before Dr Monroe showed up. He was not only professional and personable but also displayed a genuineness of concern that many MD don't possess. The photos of his family in the main waiting room, also contributed to a wonderful experience. Granted this was our first visit but we believe our initial positive interactions with Dr Monroe and his staff will continue.

Once again, ably assisted by medical students or PAs, Dr. Monroe was thorough, precise, attentive and adept at reviewing my discharge and addressing all follow-up issues. He continues to be the best doctor I've seen in my nearly 80 years.... with a straight forward but kind demeanor and a wealth and depth of knowledge on all fronts. So grateful to have found him and his staff.

I was seen for my annual checkup. Dr Monroe is an amazing doctor. He is highly knowledgeable, compassionate & caring. He takes time with his patients. He listens to my concerns & addresses them. I have been with Dr Monroe for several years as he is the Best. His staff as well is Awesome. There is an in house phlebotomist which is great. The front office staff is great. They are always kind, professional & address my questions. The M.A.’s are friendly, professional, helpful & put a person at ease. Healthy Life Family Medicine is a great practice. I highly recommend them.
