My primary goal as a psychologist is to help the client clarify their presenting problem and work with them towards reducing their suffering and enhancing their quality of life. I work with both adults and adolescents that may be experiencing a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, anger, and post-traumatic stress. I provide psychological assessments for a variety of complaints, and ground my counseling work in scientific, evidence-based interventions such as Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Clinical Hypnosis, and various mindfulness-based interventions. I also believe it is essential to view each client as the unique and complex individual that they are, and do my best to tailor the therapy or assessment work to their particular personality and situation within the framework of evidence based treatment.
