It was ok but my appointment was at 2:30.lwas there on time.but I still had to wait and extra 3hours, before I had a chance to see the Dr.Adkins.
Jonathan Adkins, MD, is a skilled bariatric surgeon, leading the bariatric team at Lakeland Surgical Clinic, PLLC, located in Jackson, Mississippi. Dr. Adkins is a native of Biloxi and is currently the only fellowship-trained bariatric surgeon in Central Mississippi.
Dr. Adkins completed his undergraduate education at Ole Miss in Oxford, Mississippi, before earning his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine here in Jackson. He completed his surgical residency at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. Dr. Adkins then completed a minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
At Lakeland Surgical Clinic, Dr. Adkins performs several types of laparoscopic bariatric procedures, including gastric bypass, laparoscopic band, and revisionary bariatric surgery.
Dr. Adkins is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is on staff at Baptist Health Systems, St. Dominic Hospital, and Merit Health River Oaks, where he conducts clinic on a weekly basis.

We waited all day for procedure with no notification of why the long wait. Common courtesy dictate some kind of feedback from the doctor's staff or someone at the hospital.

On the day of my appt, I was very anxious for a couple of reasons. When Dr Adkins came into my room, I was glad to see a smile however he was not the physician I was referred to. I was referred to Dr Chandler. Dr Akins was so kind to call Dr chandler as he was not in office that day. Dr Chandler agreed to see me and came to the the room. Wow!!! What a way to save the day and not have me comeback another time when I had already taken the day off and have a fear of heights, and traveled an hour for the appointment. Everyone was exceptionally nice and respectful of my time and of each others. I couldn’t ask for better that day! Thank you to everyone for an experience that started off with a hitch and ended with peace of mind and comfort! I will refer this group if someone I know ever needs the service! God bless you all!

It was not a good visit, the only thing checked was my blood pressure.
I really like Dr. Adkins and am excited about my upcoming robotic surgery. The office nurse, Jennifer, has been so kind. They seem to be be a bustling practice.
