I was so pleased with my experience. I still can't get over how well I did. I had a giant hiatal hernia fixed roboticalky and I would recommend Dr. Adkins to anyone. I did not have very the first bad day and I was waiting but iShow moret never came. I felt better immediately after my surgery. I am so glad I had that done and zi thank Dr. Adkins and highly recommend him to anyone needing to get a hernia repair

Jonathan Adkins, MD, is a skilled bariatric surgeon, leading the bariatric team at Lakeland Surgical Clinic, PLLC, located in Jackson, Mississippi. Dr. Adkins is a native of Biloxi and is currently the only fellowship-trained bariatric surgeon in Central Mississippi.
Dr. Adkins completed his undergraduate education at Ole Miss in Oxford, Mississippi, before earning his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine here in Jackson. He completed his surgical residency at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. Dr. Adkins then completed a minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
At Lakeland Surgical Clinic, Dr. Adkins performs several types of laparoscopic bariatric procedures, including gastric bypass, laparoscopic band, and revisionary bariatric surgery.
Dr. Adkins is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is on staff at Baptist Health Systems, St. Dominic Hospital, and Merit Health River Oaks, where he conducts clinic on a weekly basis.

He's a really good doctor and very professional at what he do.
Dr Adkins was very relaxed and confident about doing my epigastric/ventral hernia repair surgery. He answered my questions and explained the process efficiently to me. he went over the CT scan with me so I could visualize what he would do in the surgery. His nurse practitioner was also very accommodating and went over my extensive surgical history with me. I was scheduled for surgery in two weeks, which meant a lot to me to not have to wait too long to get it done.
From the admission clerk to Dr. Adkins, they were very professional, helpful and kind. I thank Dr. Adkins for helping me to understand the surgery.
