Jose Mendez, DO, brings over twenty years of experience as a physician to his practice at Dermatology Consultants of Asheville in Woodfin, North Carolina. He has experience in varied areas, including dermatology, dermatologic surgery, wound care, critical care, primary care, and research. Dr. Mendez has over thirteen years of specialized experience in general dermatology and Mohs surgery.
Dr. Mendez earned his medical degree from Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is board-certified in dermatology by the American Board of Physician Specialties and is a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Mendez is also board-certified in geriatric care and family medicine. He is fluent in English and Spanish, which enables him to connect with more patients.
Dr. Mendez served as a voluntary Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He has also served as a Clinical Professor for Internal Medicine and Dermatology with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and Clinical Professor for the Department of Dermatology Nova Southeastern University. Unfortunately there is delay on appointment due to the fact that dr Mendez did not arrive on time. Suggestions do not make appointments before 11 am which is the time when doctor arrives. This happens to me 3 times.
