As can be expected, any potential surgery carries with it a certain amount of concern and particularly when it involves removing a portion of your colon and you’re 80 years old. That was my case. Dr. Kim has a very pleasing, comforting manner, as well as never rushing you or your questions. He is very conservative and very concerned about your well being along with being a pioneer in the robotic/laproscopic procedure of colon resectioning. He is extremely methodical, and I can say that the morning of surgery I was actually relaxed and had no concern about the outcome (particularly when Dr. Kim told me “I will keep you safe”. You could also see how all the other medical professionals respected Dr. Kim. Happy to say my surgery was most successful, and I never needed any pain meds except for the Dr. Kim supplied, non-narcotic tablets which were very effective. It has now been six weeks post surgery and after a couple follow up visits with Dr. Kim, he released me today to resume normal activities. As you can tell, I cannot be more pleased with my outcome and the process in general. Dr. Kim is an excellent surgeon, and if by chance my wife and I need any further surgeries we will be asking for Dr. Kim’s assistance. Furthermore Mrs Kim is extremely involved in the practice and running the office staff and cannot be more sympathetic and helpful and such a pleasant lady, as well as her assistant. They are there to help at all times. This was the best outcome I could have imagined, and I owe it completely to Dr. Kim and his wife and staff.

Dr Kim is a doctor who listens to his patients and actually cares about them. He is focused on providing his patients with the best information on their procedure so they feel comfortable going into surgery. Dr Kim checks on his patients at hospital several times after surgery. He has a very good bedside manner.
Dr. Kim is very thorough in his profession. He listens to your concerns, medications your on and explains what to do and not do before your procedure. Highly recommended.

AAt any point in your life when they tell you that you have cancer is a big deal. After trying to get in with two other surgeons, one said that he would take care of me and tell me out at the end I would need to pay cash and then another surgeon that was referred. The office staff was beyond rude and inconsiderate and completely unnecessary drama. Then when I get there the first thing I ask is, well, I have to have a colonoscopy bag. He said if I do, I do; if I don’t, I don’t. Please refrain from asking me any more questions, so I sit there and never said another word until I left, came home, and cried. I felt like I had already been through two. I wasn’t sure if I was gonna find anything different or if it was me. I went with my gut and asked for another referral and would do Dr. Kim’s office. The office staff was amazing. Dr. Kim was amazing. Literally went through everything telling me everything step-by-step. What he was gonna do, which was the first surgeon that did that. Let me know we’re a team and we’re gonna get through. This just made me feel like I might actually be able to do this. I would refer him. I would refer his office staff and I would let anyone know just because you have cancer doesn’t mean you have to settle.
