Dr Nunez shows sincere concern over his patient's needs to maintain healthy skin care. On my recent visit, he was attentive to my issues and was very patient in listening to me. Justin Sawyer, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist who focuses on general dermatology, skin cancer detection, prevention, and treatment. He offers expert care to patients at Skin Care Specialists in Mesa, Arizona.
Dr. Sawyer is originally from east central Illinois. After graduating valedictorian from Mattoon High School, he attended Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where he majored in biology. He then returned to Illinois, where he received a full congressional scholarship to the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago.
After an internship in internal medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, Dr. Sawyer moved to Arizona for his dermatology training. He has been practicing in Mesa since finishing his dermatology residency at the University of Arizona in 2002 in Tucson.
Dr. Sawyer received the highest score in the country on the American Board of Dermatology recertification exam.
At Skin Care Specialists, Dr. Sawyer enjoys helping his patients understand their skin conditions so that the best course of treatment can be selected. In his free time, he enjoys watching Duke basketball, researching diet and exercise science, and spending time with his wife and their two children.

Dr. Sawyer is an excellent doctor. He removed some pre-cancers, as usual, protecting me from something worse. He recommended some skin care options to help prevent cancer and bruising. I highly recommend him.
