About Katrina Kaczmarek, APRN-RNP

Katrina Kaczmarek, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Katrina sees patients ages 6 and up at Exhale Health, a psychiatric mental health practice based in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Katrina utilizes evidence-based treatments and collaborates regularly with other health care professionals, including patients' therapists, psychologists, and medical doctors.

She specializes in a number of mental health disorders and conditions, including attention-deficit/hyperactive disorder (ADHD), autism, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, depression, and PTSD.

As a medical professional, Katrina’s primary responsibility is prescribing and managing medication. She also offers supportive listening through psychotherapy. She believes in a holistic approach to medicine and that the provider-patient relationship is best when approached as a collaboration.

Katrina encourages mindfulness, emphasizing the importance of healthy and balanced nutrition, exercise, and good sleep hygiene. This allows for more conservative medication management practices and greater family collaboration with patients’ parents, especially when working with teens and young adults.

In addition to her role at Exhale Health, Katrina teaches for the nursing program at Northern Arizona University.

Her professional memberships include the American Nurses Association (ANA), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI), Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN), and American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA).
