Dr. Kelly-Anne Shedd-Hartman was kind and offered wonderful trauma informed care. I appreciated the extra time spent with me during the examination utilizing technical terminology and offering explanations of what was seen in theShow more present instead of remaining silent which often leaves room for rumination & ambiguity. Though the beginning of the examination started very quickly, the attunement by her and her nurse was well established. They were aware of my silent but anxious presentation and tended to it appropriately. I appreciated the time spent explaining what was detected and next steps. They were very thorough, gentle, and empowering. Even when tense they were able to perform the examination precisely and gently without giving direction for me to do anything different. They allowed my body to respond as it needed to in that moment and worked with it well which ultimately reduced tension and muscle armoring. I was met with care and understanding. I deeply appreciated the reminder that she was open to any needs, wants, or questions during our time together in the future. I would highly recommend Dr. Shedd-Hartman. If I could add anything at all to the practice, I would add a space in the portal for potential assault survivors to list any specific words to avoid or any special requests that may be considered. Though I had written some out just in case and often assist my clients in doing so as well, I did not need them here. Dr. Shedd-Hartman and her kind nurse were personable and normalized distress someone may feel during an examination. I am beyond grateful for my first positive experience with a doctor and staff! It is always important to remember that though we may have hundreds of patients, our patients have 1 and that 1 is themselves. This was highly practiced today and my gratitude is overwhelming. Thank you all for your time and care.
My visits with Dr. KASH are what I imagine most women hope for from any medical appointment. I have seen her for female exams and perimenopause for years. At every appt she has been kind, professional, knowledgeable and thoughtfuShow morel in the care she provided. I’ve never had a bad experience with Dr. KASH and at every single appt she has helped me maintain my health, the most valuable service a doctor provides. If an issue arises, the portal messaging actually works and I get a response to my question or an appointment to discuss it in person. The front office staff are welcoming and efficient. I have spent some appointment time with the nursing staff (Norma is awesome), and the specialty practitioners for mammograms and genetic testing, and every single person I meet in this office is caring, skilled and professional. It is a rarity in today’s times, but I have no criticisms to offer because my experiences at this office have been nothing but positive. In my opinion, this medical office is the possibly the best medical office in Sarasota and I wish other facilities in this area would use their office as a model. Kelly-Anne Shedd-Hartman, DO aka Dr. KASH offers holistic, patient-focused OB/GYN care to women of all ages at Swor Women’s Care in Sarasota, Florida. Since 2014, Dr. KASH has helped her patients optimize their wellness with expert OB/GYN services as well as nutritional counseling, exercise, and natural healthcare.
Dr. KASH completed her undergraduate degree in biology with minors in human anatomy and neuroscience at Colorado State University. She went on to earn her medical degree at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Bradenton, Florida. Dr. KASH served her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio.
Dr. KASH has a particular interest in prenatal health and works closely with patients to help them stay healthy during pregnancy as well as improving neonatal and infant safety. Her holistic approach to improving patient health works to give women an understanding of their bodies so they can make better wellness choices. Dr is warm and personable Office staff is not Found front desk ( on check out) I think her name was Trung-unprofessional.She needs to be retrained in customer service. There were 4 people standing around check in/out area just loudly talking. Highly inappropriate for Dr office and not what patients want to see

In today's health care climate you often feel as though you are a number standing in line at the deli counter, where no one cares what you order. From the moment you arrive at SWOR you are greeted with a smile and asked what they can do to help you. We all know this type of attitude starts at the top down, so no surprise when you are in the exam room and Dr. Shedd comes in and greets you like you're her long lost friend. She listens, is compassionate, truly cares about her patients, even if you only see her once a year. She cares and you walk out wishing every medical person you ever have to encounter could take lessons from her. Wonderful!!
I’ve had to go to doctors for years due to a medical condition and this was one of the best experiences I have had with a doctor. Dr.Shedd listened,actually read the records I brought and explained everything to me about my situation. Dr.Shedd made several recommendations and I have hope and understanding that I needed. I only wish I had heard about them sooner.I highly recommend Swor as I have already done with my friends.

Dr. KASH was compassionate, understanding, and talked to me in length about everything she was going to do with my LAVH and Prolapse surgery. My fear was the worst part of all of it. So happy it's over and I'm doing well.

Dr Shedd-Kash is an excellent doctor. I have been a patient for many years. I drive an hour to go to her office because she is knowledgeable and takes the time to listen to the concerns of every patient. She makes you feel at ease and is easy to talk to about any problem.
