Kenneth Pugar, DO, MBA, dFACN, is a board-certified neurologist at the Dayton Center for Neurological Disorders (DCND), which helps staff locations in Centerville, Beavercreek, Springfield, Eaton, Wilmington, Hillsboro, and Vandalia, Ohio. Dr. Pugar is the founder and president of DCND and works at the Centerville and Beavercreek offices. Over the years, he’s established DCND as one of the premier neurology practices in the state.
Dr. Pugar studied at Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania, earning his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. After graduation, he enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh, also in Pennsylvania, and obtained a Master of Business Administration. Then, Dr. Pugar enrolled at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania, graduating with his Doctor of Osteopathy.
Dr. Pugar also completed residency training at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
Dr. Pugar diagnoses and treats various neurological disorders, but he has a special interest in Alzheimer’s disease/dementia, Parkinson’s disease, and Multiple Sclerosis. I am dealing with shingles on my face and a rare complication of Ramsey Hunt Syndrome causing paralysis of my face. I saw Dr Pugar and he took an exceptional amount of time to thoroughly explain everything, and also listened to me. He showed a great deal of compassion and I so appreciated his encouragement and recommendation as I try to recover from this.
Dr. Pugar as well as his staff , are professional ,compassionate as well as having an extensive knowledge of multiple sclerosis and current treatments. He takes time to discuss your concerns , and you never feel rushed.He is always positive ,but open and honest about the realities of of the disease. I am blessed to have him as my neurologist .
