I have a shoulder with issues, one previous surgery and a torn bicep. About every 18 months to 2 years I have to get an injection to keep the mobility in it. I usually see Dr. Chimente, but he was out of the office, so I saw Dr.Show more Smith. He is very personable and took good care of me. I have seen 4 different doctors here for different specialties and they are all good. I highly recommend The Woodlands Sports Medicine. I no longer live in Houston, but I drive 300 miles one way for my Orthopedic care because they are so good.
Dr.Sharma is one of the most caring and supportive Doctor that I have had the privilege of meeting. He has always listened to my concerns and addressed them quickly. Kevin M. Smith, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine expert bringing his fellowship training experience to The Woodlands Sports Medicine Centre in The Woodlands, Texas. Dr. Smith focuses on personalized patient procedures, including shoulder, hip, and knee joint replacements, sprains, and fractures. His specialty is in minimally invasive and highly effective arthroscopic joint procedures.
Dr. Smith was born and raised in Houston, Texas, where he was an all-state basketball player at Humble High School, MVP of the district, and graduated summa cum laude. He attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, for his undergraduate degree, also playing basketball, and earning a perfect GPA in chemical engineering. He received academic all-conference honors for being an athlete who showcased hard work in school.
After receiving his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Dr. Smith completed his residency at Houston Methodist Hospital in Texas Medical Center in Houston. There, he kicked off his sports medicine training while working with team physicians for the Houston Texans and Houston Astros.
Dr. Smith also attended Rice University’s Jones School of Business in Houston, Texas, to study business principles in health care in the groundbreaking health care management program. He went on to Stanford University in Stanford, California, for its renowned sports medicine and shoulder-elbow fellowship.
Following his time as the assistant team physician for the Stanford Cardinal football program, Dr. Smith continued to refine his skills while working with the team physicians from the San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants, and Golden State Warriors.
Dr. Smith’s research has been presented and published numerous times, all furthering the fields of stem cell research, joint replacements, hip arthroscopic procedures, and progressive surgery.
Dr. Smith has privileges at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodlands Parkway, Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center, and St. Luke’s Community Medical Center of The Woodlands.

I came into town and was in a rush to get in to see an orthopedic doctor. Dr. Smith's off ice was able to get me in by the end of the week. I was also able to get right back in for a procedure. The staff was very friendly and made me feel welcomed. I now how a doctor here in The Woodlands that I am comfortable to see when ever I am back in town.

Dr. Smith has taken care of my knee, my shoulder, and my neck injuries. All from that amazing and stupid game of Pickleball! If you’re looking for a real pro, with great surgical hands, I highly recommend Dr. Smith! This is a real review, and you can trust that I’m a real person. I just have a rebuilt knee and shoulder! Very professional, knowledgeable, listened carefully, answered questions and ask questions.
I was very happy with my initial visit with Dr. Smith and his entire office. He and his assistant took their time with me and went over some MRIs and Xrays that I brought from a previous Dr. That I was unhappy with. Dr. Smith explained everything on them in detail and answered all my questions. Very happy with my experience with him and his office.
Was amazed to see everyone working so fast. In and out in short time.

Saw the pa not the Dr. good visit
Dr Sharma is caring, and attentive. He takes time to really listen to everything I say and then addresses every question and concern that I have. I went to him with terrible chronic nerve pain in my right leg, but now I’m getting around pretty much normal again. Dr Sharma is a wonderful Dr., and his staff is great as well. They handle call backs, refills etc. quickly and always with kindness.

Dr. Smith and his staff was very professional, everything was explained to me, especially by Dr.Smith and Elizabeth his assistant of how the procedure that needed to be done to relieve me of the tremendous pain I had been experiencing. Thank you Woodlands Sports Medicine, after one day of treatment, my pain level is down to maybe a 2 or a 3. I expect it to be at 0 real soon.
