Dr. Nuako's staff is wonderful, but if you're looking for a doctor that gives you that warm and comfortable feeling, Dr. Nuako is not your doctor. He never makes eye contact with me when you I go into the procedure room. He doesShow moren't speak, even if I make eye contact with him and try to speak to him, he will look away. What would it hurt for him to tell me he is going to take care of me, and he will speak to me in recovery about his findings? I don't see him in the office, but this is my experience with 2 scopes now. Obviously, it didn't bother me a lot or I wouldn't have returned a second time. It's just irritating. I realize that's not everyone's personality, but a little kindness goes a long way. Lori in pre-op/recovery is excellent!
1. Had to wait a long time after cleanse before the colonoscopy. 2. Papers were handed out prior to the procedure stating that a driver must be present and stay inside the building. My driver came in the procedure waiting room aShow morend was very abruptly told to leave the office and go to the car or hallway. Why contradict yourself? Hand out papers with the current policy BEFORE the procedure so we are better prepared. 3. My initial pre-procedure was billed as an office visit so my insurance isn’t covering it. That should be included in the procedure billing. I will be calling the office about this on Monday.

Dr. Nuako received his medical degree from the University of Ghana Medical School. He completed his residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore, then did a fellowship in gastroenterology at Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester, Minnesota. He's board-certified in internal medicine with a specialty in gastroenterology and is a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine.
With experience in advanced gastroenterology spanning more than 20 years, Dr. Nuako’s patients rely on his expertise in endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopy, upper GI endoscopy, and capsule endoscopy.
