I am giving Dr. Nuako a 5 star even though my appointment was 2.5 hours past the scheduled time. Apparently, there had been several emergency's that had him called away and that was the reason for the late appointment. I have beShow moreen his patient in an emergency before, so glad he stayed and got me stable. Even though my appointment was delayed, he did not hurry our visit and was attentive as always. I always appreciate that. Got my diagnosis, got my questions answered, reassured labs would help with telling him how we would move forward with treatment. Thanks.

Dr. Kofi Nuako is the medical director and president of Summit Endoscopy Center, and he provides expert diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal conditions at Advanced Gastroenterology in the area of Union City, Tennessee.
He also oversees two other clinics that are part of his practice: The MediSpa and Summit Weight Loss, where patients receive comprehensive weight loss services including meal replacement.
Dr. Nuako received his medical degree from the University of Ghana Medical School. He completed his residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore, then did a fellowship in gastroenterology at Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester, Minnesota. He's board-certified in internal medicine with a specialty in gastroenterology and is a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine.
With experience in advanced gastroenterology spanning more than 20 years, Dr. Nuako’s patients rely on his expertise in endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopy, upper GI endoscopy, and capsule endoscopy. Fast and efficient nice people

All the nurses, medi spa and anesthesiologist were wonderful! Friendly and helpful! Lori was the best!
My experience was extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant. I have never had a rectal exam at any gastrointestinal specialist I have visited in my entire life at a consultation appointment. Not only did I have a rectal exam, but it hurt very bad and the physician felt like he was digging and causing more pain than needed. The physician also mischarted several things in my chart such as, giving me a head-to- toe examination, which he did not perform, he charted I had rectal bleeding, which I did not have, he charted I did not have scoliosis, which I actually do have scoliosis and was never asked or evaluated for at this facility, and he charted I had bloody stools, which I told him I did not. The physician's bedside manner was very passive and he spent more time recording notes on his phone and charting false information than making eye contact. I was scheduled for a colonoscopy and to drink a whole bottle of Mirilax, 2 bottles of magnesium citrate, and 4 tablets of dulcolax, which is extremely excessive for a colonoscopy. Yes, I've had one done before as well. I am so uncomfortable with this physician I will be canceling my future appointments and finding another specialist. I don't care about his 5 star ratings or his reviews. In my opinion, he is not patient friendly at all.
Efficient , focused on the patient, friendly and efficient. Administrative staff is friendly and nurses are anesthesia personnel are caring, explain well and show concern for patients comfort and security.
Everyone are very professional and show such kindness and concern. Definitely know how to make you feel relaxed. While you are also in a tensed and nervous state.

I had a great experience while having my Fibroscan! Everyone was so nice and professional. The clinic was very clean. We are fortunate to have this Clinic and Dr. Nuako in our community.
