My most recent visit has solidified my positive impressioShow morens of her. She has impeccable bedside manner and spent time getting to know a more persoanal side of me.

Meet Dr. Dopson Almquist
Laura Dopson Almquist, MD, FACOG, is an OB/GYN in Atlanta, Georgia. She is dedicated to providing personalized, high-quality care to patients at Atlanta Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates.
Dr. Almquist grew up in Atlanta, where she attended the Westminster Schools. After graduating from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, with a Bachelor of Science in psychology, she received her medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She then completed her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Greenville Health System in Greenville, South Carolina, and served as chief resident.
Dr. Almquist is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is affiliated with Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.
She is married with two sons and has two dogs. Outside of work, Dr. Almquist spends her time enjoying meals with family, sharing her love of baking with her children, hosting game nights with friends, and exercising outdoors.

I have been seeing Dr. Barrett for 30 years. So sorry to see him retire. Congratulations and enjoy many years of retirement.
Scheduling the appointment was very easy, and I was able to check in online ahead of time. Dr Barratt is kind, attentive, answers all my questions, and thorough with his examination. When asked he recommended a physician to replace himself since he is retiring. After seeing him I was able to have a mammogram completed in the same building even though I did not have a scheduled appointment saving me another trip into Atlanta from Senoia. I have been a patient at this practice for over 40 years and will continue seeing these doctors because I trust their judgement and appreciate their services.
I have been a patient for over 30 years. My original practitioners are no longer there, but I still feel at home. Dr. Almquist is knowledgeable and she has offers excellent advice for any issues/questions that I have.
Excellent, compassionate care
Dr Barratt is the best doctor I and my daughter have ever had in all these trusted 20 years. He cares, is kind and meticulous- NEVER reflects anything but a Pleasant demeanor no matter a circumstance and always made us feel Calm and safe. There will Never be another like him, he will Be so very missed.
The staff and doctors were very friendly and professional. They were thorough with getting my history & the online check-in was very convenient. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is due to the doctor applying my compression bandage way too tight, causing my circulation to my arm to be cut off.
Dr. Almquist was very thorough and took her time getting to know me and the issues I’ve been having. She was straight to the point, but also thoughtful. Thank you!
Excellent physician. She listens to my concerns, I don’t feel rushed and she comes up with solutions to resolve the issue. Glad she’s apart of this practice. She’s a true asset to tge practice and to her patients.

She is the best. She was so focused when we had our conversations about what I’m going through. Most doctors don’t hardly seem like are listening at all. She was very intentional and developed a solid roadmap to move forward. I would highly recommend her!!!!

Dr. Barratt has been my doctor for 30+ years. He is very thorough and knowledgeable. I trust him explicitly! I recommend him and his practice to all that ask me.

Dr. Peter Barrett is the best OBGYN doctor I’ve ever had the pleasure of been a patient of. The level of care he provided to me was excellent. He performed a surgery that saved my life in 2015. I’m forever grateful.
