I love Dr. Kacmar’s office. Everyone in the office is friendly, kind, and caring. The NP is extremely knowledgeable and we are so grateful for her help and wisdom with pediatrics as well. Dr. Kacmar is an independent family physician who is board-certified in both primary care and sports medicine. A former collegiate football athlete and active adult, Dr. Kacmar recognizes the value of preventing and treating sports injuries from the young school age athlete through the aging adult. With a focus in primary care, Dr. Kacmar is able to care for all ages from routine medical care, preventative exam or acute care needs. Dr. Kacmar remains an admitting physician at Edward Hospital.
Dr. Kacmar's practice interests include orthopedic injuries, critical illness, acute illnesses, acute injury, and patients who are chronically ill seeking a diagnosis. Dr. Kacmar's years of experience and dedication to the continued study of medicine have allowed him to have a holistic approach and updated knowledge of evidence-based working practice.
Dr. Kacmar attended Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his residency in family medicine at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, Illinois. His fellowship in sports medicine at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. He has remained Medical Director for The Center for Primary Care and Sports Medicine since 2002. He continues to remain committed to future physicians as a preceptor for Loyola University.

They were able to see me right away. Getting started as a new patient was painless. The staff was super friendly. Dr. Kacmar has a great disposition and answered all my questions, I never felt rushed. He offered me multiple options for treatment. Overall, great experience at this office.
