Since I didn’t have a primary physician and was looking for a primary/cardiologist to encompass everything. I met Dr. Leah Bergman and couldn’t be more satisfied. She truly listened and explained line by line my lab results. It waShow mores a very enlightening experience meeting with a Doctor that truly cared and wanted to be clear about results in manner that could be understood. Dr. Bergman finished her bachelor’s degree in natural sciences at Fordham University in the Bronx, New York, graduating cum laude. While there, she had the opportunity to conduct research under a grant from the National Institute of Health, with her findings later published in a medical journal. She then earned her medical degree at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she was accepted into Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Society. Dr. Bergman completed her primary care internal medicine residency program at the University of Connecticut Health Center and rounded out her training with a fellowship program in cardiology at the New York-Presbyterian – Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
Alongside her clinical practice, Dr. Bergman has given several presentations at various medical conferences around the country on her research findings and subject matters in her field. In addition to her two board certifications, she is also awaiting further certification approval from the National Board of Echocardiography and the National Board of Nuclear Cardiography.

From the staff registering me for my appointment , the nurse who began my visit, Dr Leah Bergman taking the time with me to examine and explain everything and checking out! A breath of fresh air …. so different from the big box health care corporations on Long Island. I am glad I made the switch . I feel so comfortable with this practice!

The Best Experience
First of all, no waiting that amazing! Dr Leah Bergman was great! I did not feel rushed, she answered all my questions. I felt very comfortable with her. I’m very happy to have found someone who I can see becoming my primary Dr for years to come.
I was very happy with ALL the staff. They was very courteous and quick to confirm everything they set up for me. Thomas was very personable and spent time on talking with me to make me feel very comfortable for my first visit. Dr Leah Bergman was thorough in explaining procedures and results of my EKG. I did not feel rushed which is very important to a patient.

Leah was very knowledgeable and kind, just like her father. She explained to me everything that she was doing in a way that was easy to understand. The office staff, as always, were super nice, organized and helpful.
I was listened to and treated kindly. There was absolutely no rush. Illnesses I was worried about were ruled out and a suspected one confirmed. The illness was intelligently explained along with a clear explanation of the necessity of the medication prescribed and a good description of how it worked. Also I appreciated the clear instructions on how to take the medication and then the procedure for stopping it. Overall an exceptional medical experience.
