I made the appointment to renew my medical marijuana license as I've done every time it comes due. I didn't have a problem with the increase of $5 from $80 to $85. It had previously been at $80 for the office visit that covered aShow more 2-year renewal period which had to be a cash pay since my insurance doesn't cover it. However, only AFTER paying for the visit AND watching Dr. "C" sign the paperwork did he say, "Oh by the way, since you're getting the 2 year renewal, the charge is going to be $165.". Wait, what ?? That's NOT what I paid for my last office visit which was also the same 2 year renewal NOR was it the amount I was quoted when I called to make the current appointment !! I pay the Medical Marijuana Registry for however many years I'm renewing for...NOT the doctor. I'm ONLY supposed to have to pay him the $85 quoted for the office visit . To have to pay him and the MMR for EACH year of the renewal is the equivalent of being DOUBLE CHARGED !!! As I said, I had ALREADY PAID for the office visit but when I told him that that wasn't right and I didn't have the extra money he CHANGED MY PAPERWORK from 2 years down to 1 year ONLY !! All so he could rip me off of money he's not entitled to! I had no idea he was so hard up. It certainly was a rude awakening that he isn't the honorable, trust worthy doctor I always believed him to be but just another greedy, money over ethics piece of dog droppings he SHOWED HIMSELF to be.
Having moved back to Las Vegas, Dr. Capobianco was referred to us. I read the reviews and was looking forward to meeting him. (In San Francisco, I was spoiled with one of the best doctors with the best bedside manner to match). I Show morescheduled my appointment online requesting Dr. Capobianco specifically versus any of the other PA choices. As a first time patient, I visited the office a day before to fill out my paperwork and to make sure I had the right location (good thing I did as the address online doesn't match their brand new address in Henderson). When I arrived the next day, the office had lost my paperwork. It took quite a bit of waiting time for them to finally find it and enter me into the system. Then when I finally had my appointment, I met with a student who is getting her nursing degree online (she was pleasant but didn't instill a lot of trust given her inexperience). I didn't even meet with a PA except for a couple of minutes at the end. On checking out, I was charged the complete amount (versus a $20 co-pay) even though I verified online that he was in network with my insurance carrier. For a first impression, this was not a positive experience at all. I am debating whether or not to continue or seek another doctor.
