Lina Wilches-Karrat is a bilingual (English/Spanish) psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 19 years of experience in the nursing field. She completed her advanced psychiatric training at Walden University, with a strong clinical focus on mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, and child and adolescent mental health. Lina offers care to individuals across the lifespan—children, teens, and adults—through a compassionate, open-minded, and collaborative approach.
Her sessions center around medication management, but Lina integrates elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and behavioral techniques into her visits to support the whole person. While she does not offer psychotherapy alone, she skillfully blends therapeutic tools into every appointment to create a well-rounded and individualized experience.

Lina is a godsend! She is a very kind, sweet, caring and patient doctor. She got to know my autistic son well by asking all the questions necessary during our first visit. She took her time listening and I didn’t feel rushed while explaining my son’s history. We needed a new psychiatrist and finding one that takes Medicaid is hard so we are grateful to have found Lina at this center!
