Dr Burson is absolutely wonderful. She is knowledgeable, personable and gave me a true sense of “here is a doctor I can trust and feel comfortable with.” I have been wrestling with the decision to have bunion surgery for years. HShow moread seen another doctor about it but felt like I was just another patient to rush in, say hi and leave with coattails flying behind him. Dr Burson wasn’t like that. She made me feel like my problem is worth her taking time to listen and I felt reassured and confident I am in good and capable hands. I gave her 5 stars because she deserves it. I highly recommend her if you have any foot problems.
I normally don't leave reviews, but I feel that I needed to let others know how wonderful and comfortable everyone in the office made my visit. From the moment I walked in with the friendly office staff to Dr Burson who was personShow moreable and knowledgeable. I went in with unbearable foot pain and after two visits i can honestly say that I'm 100% better. Please don't put it off like I did because I was nervous as to what I might hear, they will help you every FOOT of the way. ;)
Lisa Burson, DPM, is a board-certified podiatrist at The Foot & Ankle Specialists, with locations in Lapeer, Caro, and Bay City, Michigan. Dr. Burson prides herself on collaborative, high-quality care between her and her patients. In addition to general foot and ankle care, Dr. Burson’s specialties include foot and ankle surgery, diabetic limb salvage, and wound care.
Dr. Burson received her Bachelor of Science in biomedical sciences from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, in 2010. She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University in Cleveland, Ohio in 2014.
After graduating, Dr. Burson completed a three-year residency training in podiatric medicine and surgery including reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery at Michigan Surgical Hospital (formerly Kern Hospital)from 2014 to 2017. She then began practicing podiatry near metro Detroit, Michigan before joining the team at The Foot & Ankle Specialists in July 2019.
Dr. Burson treats a wide array of foot and ankle injuries and conditions and performs surgical procedures for all ailments of the foot or ankle. Patients regularly see her for plantar fasciitis, foot pain, ankle pain, neuromas, bunions, hammertoes, athlete’s foot, diabetic foot care, and wound care.

I would not go anywhere else. Dr. Burson is exceptional. I am a very nervous person, she and her staff put me at ease. I had no injections as she did everything quick without pain.
