I am a medical student from china.I did a one month clinical externship at the clinic. It was absolutely an amazing experience.The externship was under supervision of Dr. Majed Chane, who is a cardiologist and also the associate pShow morerofessor at UCI. This rotation is a hands-on one, combining outpatient and inpatient experience. We can interview the patient in the clinic, perform the physical examination, formulate our own assessment and plan then present to Dr. Chane or two other nurse practitioners. There are lots of chances to practice. Besides, because Dr. Chane is cardiology consultant at two hospitals, we have chances to write cardiology consult and progress notes every day, which is a shining experience compared to other rotations in the outpatient settings. After writing the notes, Dr. Chane or nurse practitioner will go over the notes with us and revise the notes. In addition, we learned and practiced reading ECG, stress test results, Echocardiography, lower extremity venous ultrasound a lot. The variety of exposures to cardiovascular diseases makes me more confident of related encounter in the future clinical rotations.I was so blessed that I made many best friends during this rotation. Everyone was awesome and nice, the doctor, the NPs, the medical assistants. And importantly, the location of the clinic is very safe. Huntington beach is a peaceful and safe town, I didn't worry about the safety when I was there.I'm so grateful for this experience and feel lucky that it is the first destination of my USCE. Would definitely recommend it!

One of Southern California’s leading board-certified cardiovascular specialists and an assistant clinical professor at UCI, Majed Chane, MD, offers comprehensive evaluations and treatments for the most complex heart diseases and conditions. He cares for patients at CA Heart Specialists and Vein Clinic in Huntington Beach and serves patients throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
After earning his medical degree from Damascus University School of Medicine, he went through his internship and residency training in internal medicine, as well as his fellowship in cardiology, all at the University of Southern California (USC). Dr. Chane completed an additional fellowship in Interventional Cardiology through the University of Arizona.
To this day, Dr. Chane continues taking additional educational courses and going through training to ensure he’s up-to-date on recent evidence-based cardiovascular solutions. He’s board certified through the American Board of Internal Medicine in both cardiovascular disease, as well as interventional cardiology.
In addition, Dr. Chane is board certified through the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology, National Board of Echocardiography, and the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine. Dr. Chane is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Angioplasty, and the American College of Physicians.
As an assistant clinical professor with UC Irvine, Dr. Chane spends time teaching and mentoring future practitioners. He even serves as the director of the Fountain Valley Regional Hospital’s Cardiovascular Invasive Services and Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
Because Dr. Chane is fluent in English, Spanish, Arabic, and Vietnamese, he’s able to communicate with patients from diverse backgrounds. Dr. Chane is currently accepting new patients, including patients who are in need of a second medical opinion. He welcomes new and existing patients to the practice.

During my rotation at CA Heart and Vein Specialists, I had the privilege of learning from Dr. Majed Chane. Dr. Chane’s expertise in interventional cardiology and vein treatments, along with his ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable and engaging way, truly enhanced my learning experience. I gained valuable insights into stress tests, nuclear studies, echocardiograms, and catheterization procedures. Nurse Practitioner Tiffany Laffen demonstrated an incredible ability to balance professionalism with warmth, creating a clinical environment that was both supportive and welcoming. Her detailed guidance and patience in answering my questions significantly enriched my understanding of patient care. The entire team, including Emily, Kody, and the ultrasound team, contributed to making this a remarkable experience. Their professionalism, teamwork, and dedication to excellent patient care were evident every step of the way. I highly recommend Dr. Chane, Ms. Laffen, and the entire team at CA Heart and Vein Specialists. They are exceptional educators and healthcare providers, and they made my rotation an outstanding and memorable learning experience.
Today I had the opportunity to shadow Dr. Chane in clinic all day. He had so many patients throughout the day - either on his follow up list or his procedure list. He listened well to his patients, answered their questions, and very clearly articulated his medical knowledge in a concise yet understandable manner. He also has wonderful staff that truly care about what they are doing.
I am an IMG and came here for a month of rotation. This is a well organized rotation with extensive outpatient and inpatient exposure. Dr. Chane is very knowledgable and always willing to answer questions with patience. With his help, I became more familiar with the medical system of the US, and also strengthened my clinical skills, such as taking history, educating patient, and assessing patient and making plans accordingly. Also Dr. Chane provided opportunities to observe catheterizations, round at 2 hospitals and write preliminary consult notes, which all are excellent inpatient experience. Also, NP Tiffany and Tina are also super helpful with every aspect of learning. I was completely amazed by the teamwork here and definitely enjoyed being a part of the team. Really appreciate all their effort for medical education here.
I’m a medical student from China and have shadowed Dr. Chane for a clinical rotation. I had a wonderful time here. As a doctor, Dr. Chane is knowledgeable and patient who would explain the mechanism of diseases and treatment plans to patients in detail. He helps solve his patients’ questions and reassure their concerns as much as he can. As a teacher, he taught me how to manage patients in clinical settings and let me learn from my mistakes which would help me become a good doctor in the future. He allowed me to see patients with him and write preliminary notes under his supervision. Now I’m very confident to present cases and come up with the assessment and plan which would be my strong points in further rotation even in the residency training. And all the staff here are awesome. They are extremely helpful. Tiffany and Tina, the nurse practitioners, are professional and efficient. I highly recommend doing clinical rotations here.
Dr. Chane is a very caring doctor/specialist in his field. I have been going to this medical facility since 2016. His PA Tina is very professional too. They both go out of their way to check on my progress and make sure I am getting the proper check up, blood test, and other test & medications that will improve my health.
I was visiting from out of town and the office staff was extremely helpful getting me in last minute for an appointment with Dr. Chane. Everyone from the front desk, nurses and Dr. Chane himself were outstanding. He was efficient, very knowledgeable, and cared about my follow up treatment plan for when I returned home. I highly recommend Dr. Chane and his staff for anyone looking for a caring Dr.
