I had a positive experience. Dr. Roufail is friendly and has a positive demeanor. Her explanation of the evaluation is clear and easy to understand. I feel hopeful and excited that I will be able to read many books. I felt welcomed that I was greeted at the door. The member knew my name and he opened the door for me.
I went for my Low Vision appointment with hopes of improving my ability for day-to-day functioning with my MD and left with so much more. I left with Hope and a new ability to read books not just on my phone and to walk around more safely and have one pair of glasses to wear during the day instead of switching off between three and four. Thank you so much.

My mom was treated with courtesy and respect. She was hesitant about going to her appointment and how she would be treated. Dr Roufail is the first to truly understand the visual acuity variability I experience as a person with CNS-autoimmune disorders. She listened to and addressed the needs I have as an artist. It is the first time I have felt affirmed, and the first time my needs for improved vision have been successfully addressed. I am very grateful!

My appointment with Dr. Roufail was extremely positive. I learned ways to improve my vision for now that were simp;e changes in glasses type, and assistive device to help in everyday functioning that had been frustrating for me. Dr Roufail was interested in me as a person, explained why I had some problems and what could be done to help with them. We explored several types of assisted device to find what I was comfortable with. I left the Center feeling much more positive .
Dr. Roufail was thorough in her assessment of my AMD related vision problems and thoughtful in her recommendations for helping me deal with them. Her suggestions for appliances never sounded like sales pitches. I felt she genuinely cared about my situation.
She was able to talk in plain language to make my vision change and cause of the change understandable. She worked to help find tools to help make seeing things in my environment easier.
So often, my low vision has been a limitation, but it seemed like the doctor was excited about the little vision that I do have! I felt very welcome. I was given new ideas and left quite happy. I highly recommend this organization for anyone with limited vision.
