Marfe Hutson has over 20 years of experience as a board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She is also certified in Wound and Ostomy. Her clinical expertise encompasses adult and geriatric care within various settings, including primary care, internal medicine, transitional care, skilled nursing, and wound/ostomy care. Dr. Hutson promotes the involvement of patients and their families in patient-centered care while maintaining professionalism and boundaries. She promotes shared decision-making for solutions in planning, prescribing, and evaluating processes of care when the patients' Cultural preferences and norms may be incompatible with evidence-based practice. She evaluates patients' wound or ostomy care needs and the available resources to achieve the appropriate and desired outcomes; and assists the patients in identifying and securing appropriate services to address wound or ostomy care needs across the healthcare continuum
