Dr. Hoffman has been the pediatrician for my 3 children for the past 19 years and she is amazing. She not only has great bedside manners, but she takes her time, explains very well. Maria Hoffman-Guardia, MD, is one of the skilled and compassionate pediatricians at Pediatric Associates At Ridge. Dr. Hoffman-Guardia sees patients and their families at the office in Mcallen, Texas. She strives to offer the highest standards of care to everyone she treats.
Dr. Hoffman-Guardia received her medical degree from the University of Panama School of Medicine. She went on to complete her pediatric residency and a one-year training in pediatric critical care medicine at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Moving from Central America to the United States enabled Dr. Hoffman-Guardia to become a fluent bilingual speaker of both English and Spanish. She is an active fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is board certified in pediatrics.
Dr. Hoffman-Guardia has been part of the Rio Grande Valley community for over 20 years. She is passionate about education and healthy lifestyle modifications. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis.
