Maria Hoffman-Guardia, MD, is one of the skilled and compassionate pediatricians at Pediatric Associates At Ridge. Dr. Hoffman-Guardia sees patients and their families at the office in Mcallen, Texas. She strives to offer the highest standards of care to everyone she treats.
Dr. Hoffman-Guardia received her medical degree from the University of Panama School of Medicine. She went on to complete her pediatric residency and a one-year training in pediatric critical care medicine at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Moving from Central America to the United States enabled Dr. Hoffman-Guardia to become a fluent bilingual speaker of both English and Spanish. She is an active fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is board certified in pediatrics.
Dr. Hoffman-Guardia has been part of the Rio Grande Valley community for over 20 years. She is passionate about education and healthy lifestyle modifications. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis.

Wonderful staff and Doctors
Dr Hoffman has been my daughter pediatrician since she was a newborn and now is my sons too. She is polite and cares for my children. She always explains to you the developmental stages of growth according to their ages and what to expect on each one of them. Also loved that she is bilingual. I will recommend her to other moms out there.

Dr. Hoffman has been our family pediatrician for 14 years! She has taken care of my kids since infants. We love her bedside manner, her positive energy, and her compliments! She gives the younger kids stickers after the consult, which makes it a great ending to the visit. I’ve never had a bad experience with this office! Highly highly recommend!
