I rarely write reviews, but Dr. Moro is special. I am usually satisfied if a doctor is skilled and thorough. Dr. Moro is skilled, thorough, compassionate, direct, kind, intuitive, and discerning. She is also an excellent communicaShow moretor because she listens extremely well and explains clearly. She is everything that a doctor should be. We drive about 45 minutes to get to her office, and it is so worth it! The wait time is not too bad. The time we spend with her is efficient, but never feels rushed. My teenage children and I find it very easy to be open with her, and we all trust her judgment because we can see her expertise and we know she cares about us. I think that's remarkable! She is an amazing doctor. I wish there was a way to clone her, but there's only one Dr. Moro! Thank you, thank you, for being so amazing!
All of the doctors are AMAZING! My only concern, which made me switch to a different practice is every time we have an appointment, we have to wait 2+ hours. Don’t get me wrong, the doctors are worth the wait but a well infant sitShow moreting in a waiting room with sick patients for any amount of time is a recipe for disaster. We were driving all the way from Hollywood just to see Dr. Moro — the 40 minute drive (each way) plus a 2 hour wait window always threw off our daughters sleep schedule. As much as we didn’t want to, we found a pedestrian with little to no wait times.
Maria Moro, MD, FAAP, at Palm Leaf Pediatrics in Miami specializes in pediatric medicine, with a focus on treating infectious disease. Dr. Moro provides advanced diagnostic and treatment services for a variety of conditions, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), immune deficiencies, asthma, and allergies. She is fellowship-trained in pediatric medicine and certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Born in Argentina, Dr. Moro moved to Venezuela as a teenager. Prior to taking over for Dr. Eugene Canton at Palm Leaf Pediatrics, Dr. Moro served pediatric patients at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami, where she still works today. Dr. Moro is very passionate about her work with children and pediatric medicine and provides concierge medical services to ensure more one-on-one patient time during each visit.
Dr. Moro earned her medical degree from the Universidad Central De Venezuela Jose Vargas School of Medicine in Caracas. She went on to complete her pediatric internship and residency at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia and later finished her fellowship training in pediatric infectious disease at the State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York.
