About Dr. Maribel Ortiz, APRN

I am a Board Certified Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Obtained my BSN from the Pontifical Catholic University in Ponce, Puerto Rico, obtained my master's degree and doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Massachusetts in Lowell. I have special interest in the impact of cultural beliefs in mental health and mood disorders. I have a very diverse experience that enriches my practice. Some of my experience consists of bariatrics, consultant for inpatient care, consultant for college program, outpatient community clinic, patient educator and even home care. My philosophy is patient-centered care using a holistic approach, and brief therapy. My practice has an informal setting, that's patient friendly.
