I had the GREATEST experience with this office. I was able to book a quick appointment. The office decor is beautiful. But the DOCTOR! That is where the 5 star experience really comes into play. Dr. Garshick is absolutely wonderfuShow morel. She is warm and friendly. She explains everything in terms you can understand. She looks you in the eye and gives you her undivided attention. By the time you leave her office, you have complete knowledge of your condition as well as your treatment plan. I am a registered nurse who worked in dermatology for many years at one of the major academic medical centers in NYC. So I come from a knowledge base that is broader than many. I highly, HIGHLY recommend Dr. Garshick. I will see her again in the future if the need should arise...or if I decide to do some cosmetic procedures to give myself a more "youthful" appearance. :-)
This visit was a follow up to my CO2 Fraxel procedure. I was concerned that the results would not meet my expectations since I did not have the symptoms that many patients have. Dr. Engelman assured me that healing was taking pShow morelace but the results take time and it was still too early to judge. She explained that I was having pain issues at the time of the procedure so she could not be as aggressive as she had wanted to be. She said she wanted me to be happy with the results, so she would repeat the procedure free of charge. However, she will give me an oral pain pill in addition to the numbing cream so I could tolerate the laser. I think she is a truly caring physician who wants her patients to be satisfied with their treatment and is willing to work with them to achieve satisfactory results.i

She completed her undergraduate education at Emory University and attended medical school at Tufts University School of Medicine, where she graduated with Research Honors and Alpha Omega Alpha. As a medical student, Dr. Garshick was awarded the prestigious Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellowship at Harvard Medical School, during which she performed dermatology clinical trials and research at Massachusetts General Hospital. She was also awarded the American Medical Women’s Association Glasgow-Rubin Academic Achievement Award for graduating in the top of her class and the William Dameshek Award for Research Excellence. Dr. Garshick’s post-graduate training in dermatology began with an internship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She completed her dermatology residency at Cornell’s New York Presbyterian Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident in Dermatology. Dr. Garshick has numerous publications in scientific journals and book chapters, including a chapter on the treatment of acne, and has presented at national meetings. She specializes in general medical dermatology, including adults and pediatrics, and cosmetic dermatology, including neurotoxins, fillers, chemical peels, and lasers. Dr. Garshick is also involved in teaching the dermatology residents at Cornell, leading discussions reviewing the latest dermatology literature. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the Women’s Dermatologic Society, as well as an Assistant Clinical Professor.

Lea answered all my questions and remedied my leg irrational sores via injections. I'm feeling much better and appreciate the service and congeniality that Lea demonstrates to me as her patient. I highly recommend her for dermatology flare ups, moles, I have been prescribed medications for my legs and the sores are healing nicely.

Dr. Tinglepaugh has far and away been best part of your operation. He has been the person we could get answers from. Communication addressing patient concerns has not been a priority for your organization. Dr. Tinklepaugh will be sorely missed.
