Marissa Ravan, NP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner dedicated to providing comprehensive pain management at Pain Care, LLC, located in Stockbridge, Griffin, Newnan & Johns Creek GA. She has been with the practice since 2011 where she previously worked as a registered nurse prior to becoming a nurse practitioner. She is proud to utilize the cutting-edge treatments Pain Care, LLC, offers patients.
Marissa began her professional education at the Mary Inez Grindle School of Nursing at Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing. Following graduation, Marissa remained at Brenau University and obtained her Master of Science in nursing.
During her time on campus, Marissa was involved in various organizations, including the Sigma Theta Tau International Society of Nursing, the National Student Nurses Association, and the Georgia Association of Student Nurses.
Since entering private practice, Marissa has served in various positions, including medical assistant, staff nurse, nurse practitioner, and director of nursing.
Marissa proudly holds membership in several professional organizations, including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Nurses Association, the American Society for Pain Management Nursing, and the Georgia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
Marissa speaks English and Spanish fluently, allowing her to serve the practice’s diverse patient base. She enjoys getting to know the individuals in her care and develops custom treatment plans that ease chronic pain and improve the quality of life.
Patients often seek care from Marissa for conditions such as back pain, neck pain, joint pain, neuropathy, and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). As an experienced nurse practitioner, Marissa finds that spinal cord stimulation, radiofrequency ablation, and joint injections can deliver lasting pain relief without surgery or medication.

The doctor I saw discussed a different treatment than you talked about with me. He did not discuss surgery at all. He will do another injection next week.

Nicole was prompt and gracious. She was thorough in her examination of the pain area and listened to my input. We talked about her recommended procedures. We talked about my need to get back into the exercises I did in PT. She offered to order more PT, but I declined for now. She did not rush the visit and allowed time for questions.
I love my drs at pain Care. I always receive excellent treatment there. Everyone is so professional and explains everything to me abs I appreciate it very much .

I never have a bad experience when I see any of the providers here. This was my first time seeing Mrs. Galan and she were so sweet and kind. She really put my mind at ease about some concerns I had about an upcoming procedure and that meant a lot to me. Even though Dr. Donner is by far my favorite. I have always been treated very well by every provider that I have ever seen. I would recommend this practice to anyone. These providers are the reason that I can continue with my career that I so dearly love and that is nursing. If I did not have their help I would have to give up a huge important part of my life, which is my nursing, and for that I am eternally grateful to this amazing group.

NP Galan was very professional and knowledgeable. She gave a thorough explanation of my mother’s treatment plan and answered all our questions.
I understood everything she said. i was there a little longer than i planed for. but i know each patient is different.

I think Marissa was thorough and ensured i understood everything before i left. She advised me on whether to use a chiropractor or not. I appreciate that. Ony thing is that I mentioned to her is that I wondered why I do not get the same Dr on each visit.

Was very patient with me and understand when you are going to have spia
as a new patient many years ago, the physicians, nurses, and support staff really worked hard to understand how to handle my pain situation. It's being treated well now and has been for over 7 years with the help of Ms. Patel and her colleagues. It's very difficult for me to give 5 star ratings to ANYTHING, but the team at pain care really will surprise you.
