Mark was born and raised on Galveston Island and attended high school at Galveston Ball High. He was a student athlete and class valedictorian. His passion for medicine and specifically orthopedics started from several family members who work for the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. His mother has been working in the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation for over 30 years. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University College Station in 2001, majoring in Biomedical Science. From there he pursued laboratory science in Veterinary Medicine at the University, where he realized his deep passion for human medicine.
PA school brought Mark to the Metroplex. He attended the University of North Texas Health Science Center’s Physician Assistant program, and quickly knew he wanted to pursue an orthopedic career. He worked for a one physician practice and was elated when given the chance to work for Dr. Daniels and the crew at Southwest Orthopedic Associates.
Mark’s hobbies include computers, golf, fishing, and spending time with his wife and two Welsh Corgis.
